Observation I made while viewing my CRT monitor with my digi cam's LCD display

The CRT screen flickers like the refresh rate is set really low when I see it in the in the LCD screen of my digital camera but I don't see it with my naked eye. It's set at 85 hertz @ 1024x768.

You get the same effect on TV if they have a digital camera looking at a TV or CRT monitor.

What happens is that you see the *difference* in the refresh rates of the LCD screen/camera and the CRT. The LCD is likely refreshing at 60Hz, and so with your monitor at 85Hz, you'll see a 15Hz flicker on the screen.
