I can't provide a lot to go on because I watched it on late-night TV back when I was around 12 or 13 y.o., which would have put it somewhere in the early 80s, though my recollection of the movie is that was probably made in the 70s. I don't remember any of the cast or actors, it might have been one of those 'direct-to-video' movies.
It was some sort of horror/thriller flick, I remember it being somewhat bizarre and I didn't really understand what was going on sometimes. The setting for the movie was largely on a yacht, in the ocean.
There was a scene where Satan appeared on the water, off in the distance, at least I think it was supposed to be Satan. It was just a man but it was implied that it was some demon, if not Satan himself. I do NOT know whether this was supposed to be a character's hallucination, or whether it was supposed to 'really' be Satan.
The only other firm memory I have is, when a guy is walking through the yacht, people on the yacht are dead. I seem to recall that the character found the yacht adrift, and went aboard to investigate. He's walking through and checking things out, and he sees some sort of large billfish (e.g. Marlin, swordfish, sailfish) has impaled someone through either a wall or door, killing them.
I know, that's not a lot! I was hoping the billfish scene might stir-up a memory for someone. TIA!
