Obnoxious sound from video card fan...

I just got my eVGA PCI-E 6800GT yesterday and finished the build of my new PC... it was running great for a while. I started installing Windows XP and during the hard drive format, suddenly the video card fan started making this horrible sound... i'm not talking about your normal loud fan type sound, i mean a really loud obnoxious sound. I waited for the hard drive format to finish and for the install to go to the point where I could turn off the computer and I removed the card... I spun the fan with my finger a bit and didn't hear too much but I found that if I put the least little bit of pressure on the fan it would scrape the board and make a sound similar to what I was hearing. I reinstalled board and turned the computer back on and it was quiet the rest of the night.

Anybody else have this board? If the problem doesn't come back I have no issues, but if this is going to be a common thing it isn't acceptable.. I can't live with that kind of noise coming from my computer.... I don't know if I can get a replacement card from eVGA or if I did get a replacement card if they all do this same thing. I didn't look yet to see if replacing the fan on the GPU is an option... anybody know?

I hope that this is an easily solveable problem, or that it was a fluke and isn't going to repeat itself... but if it happened this first night it doesn't seem likely that it will never happen again.

I've got an AGP Leadtek 6800GT, it did a similar thing for the first hour or so when I had it installed. After I started to play CS:S, it went away however. It was really odd, I could move the mouse from one part of the screen to another and the pitch would change. But after starting a fully 3d app though, the noise went away, and I haven't heard it again.
