I was going to post this in the big Oblivion thread but didnt want it to get lost in there--so I'm starting a new thread about the PS3 version just for kicks.
I've played Oblivion on the PC (no graphical enhancement mods, just BTMOD) and completed the main quest, on the 360 (didnt finish it there), and now...on the PS3.
If you've read reviews or seen the comparison video over at gametrailers.com between the 360 (pre-patch) and PS3 version (can't link it, site is blocked here at work), you can vouche for it.
There has been some talk about the load times decreased, graphic fidelity increased, and the addition of the Knights of the Nine quest line to the PS3 version.
I've only put in about 2 hours into the game, but I can say, already, that the game does indeed appear to have been optimized. The graphics are nice and crisp (more so than on the 360 pre-patch). The frame rate does appear to have been increased as well--especially outdoors. It's just fantastic.
Now, like stated earlier, the 360 did get a patch as of yesertday (I beleive), that introduced the new shader that the PS3 version has--so they might be identical graphically speaking. Anyone have both versions of the game? I'll probably check this out for myself and report back.
Anyone else playing the PS3 version? What about for the first time?
