With all the Skyrim talk I feel like messing around in oblivion a bit.

What should I use to make it not a math problem to prevent being unable to kill monsters?

Maybe a graphics improvement mod? Dunno what would you guys use?

By the time you're done sifting through all the mod sites and actually install them all, Skyrim will be out. ;)

Ohhh almost forgot...

Oblivion Mod Manager - this is a must get, you can install and uninstall mods without wreaking everything.

My essential was TES4View. It tells you what mod conflicts you have in a very simple and easy manner. Makes mod order a breeze.

Actually I'd love it if someone made a mod pack for Oblivion of hundred mods (like 10-40gb) that are all compatible. Now it's such a headache... I tried playing Oblivion again but it takes a few days to find all the mods you'd like, so I quit before starting!

Is there one that makes being a pure mage bearable? The spells in vanilla Oblivion sucked.

Do I install the expansions, the latest official patch and then the mods? Or is it like Morrowind and I need to hold off on activating the expansions?
Yes, but be sure to check which version of Oblivion the mod supports.

Some aren't fully or even compatible with the latest version of the game.

I hope this isn't too much thread necro, but I have some Oblivion Mod questions.

I just reinstalled Oblivion because I never finished the game. This time I decided to go crazy with the mods. I have installed:

FCOM
Unique Landscapes
Natural Environment
Darnified UI
Qarl's 3.0
HG Eyecandy
Natural Faces

Everything is great although I have two issues that I would like to make go away:

1. When viewing grassy land at a distance, the tiling of the textures is obvious. I thought Qarl's was supposed to handle it, but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick. Is there something wrong with my Qarl's installation? Or is there something else I should get.

2. After installing all the mods, the mouse sensitivity in lockpicking has gone down terribly. I have to push the mouse a good two inches forwards to make a tumbler go up. Does anyone know how to fix that?

*bonus*
3. Am I missing anything good? I think my list is pretty complete without getting into the little cosmetic mods or additional content.
