The work put into Martigen's Monster Mod is awe inspiring. It's a must have modification that I myself would rather call an expansion pack, and combined with Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul it turns Oblivion into the very best there is in terms of a 3D adventure/RPG game. Thanks a lot for the download link.

Wow, looking at this mod, combined with the other mods on that page, like the Landscape mod....wow. I may have to revisit Oblivion, but I already have ample games on my plate for the moment. Well, next time when I'm looking to spend money on a new game, I'll just do this instead.

I posted about 200 more screenshots in the thread so you can further see what the game looks like when modded.

I think I will actually get back into Oblivion soon!

Are any of the quests made more interesting in OOO?

Are the NPCs made any more lively?

A big gripe of mine of vanilla Oblivion is just how static and lifeless the NPCs are

[edit] also the little details like how some items being sold in the store are no where to be found in the store itself...

I installed that new version yesterday and played some. All I can say for now is that if you ever encounter a Beholden in a ruin and he spots you, run away and get out of the ruin A.S.A.P.

So, the dragon mount is used in lieu of the horse? Is the dragon better than the horse as far as normal getting around goes? Not talking about graphics or looks but as a means of transportation.

Not my guy. She'll have beholden for breakfast.

Uploaded with ShellUploader (http://su.asdf17.com/).

At this moment of her development (level 35), she runs from no one. Did have a little workout in Viverin yesterday though when all of Jephre's creatures ganged up on her. She even lost a few hit points. Still ended up 'sterilizing' the place like she does everywhere. She no longer needs to sneak. Just announces her presence with a few 40foot 60hp/2s fireballs/shockballs into a room before she enters to loot the remains.

Soon she'll reach 100skill destruction and the fireballs will just get a bit more intense.

Regenerating 20+ points of magic per second has its advantages expecially when also wearing a Mundane ring and a Sorcerer's ring. She's basically immune to spells (and she's a Breton too). Agility sucks but that just means she gets stunned without getting damaged. She also wears heavy archmage armour with 4 items enchanted with 25level shielding so you need one heck of a physical attack to hurt her. And if you do get a nick in, you won't survive to brag about it. Did I mention she also reached 100level blade skill? :D

I was looking around on youtube to find some vids of this mod and l saw one that was posted may 4th, 2007 that was a v1.9 nearing completion. Now on your thread to rage3D the readme notes you posted say v1.8. Is that the latest version or is there a newer one out? I may get my Oblivion game off the shelf and reinstall it again to try out some of these mods but I just wanted to know which is latest version before doing so. I havent played Oblivion since it came out and then in only vanilla version so not really up on all the mods and what have you. In fact I never finished the game due to the heavy system requirements it demanded. I shelved it till hardware improved. Might be the time to try it again though with this new 8800GT card I have.

i wonder how Max would do .... He is Level 92 and *everything* is at least 100 without armor or buffs.

If you ever feel your character is too strong, play some of the Oblivion mods for high level players. :p

Kumiko Manor was a blast ... and there are several hidden quests associated with it [i think it starts when you are by the well at midnight and it goes for hours and hours and hours .. and puzzles that are near impossible]

also there are several by this Author that are as hard as hell:

dennilfloss, that's cool, but my poor Level 17 Nord cannot stand a whole ruin monsters population coming at him. I can summon some basic monsters to come to my aid but my Conjuration isn't good enough to summon anything worthy at the moment (Skeletons, Zombies and a regular Dremora, along with a Scamp and some other lesser stuff like a Ghost). So when I see a Beholden I get out of the place and resume my Deer hunting :)

She still has much leveling left to do. For example, gotta practice more to max her restoration. Also will go kill tons of everscamps in one of my favourite houses to max my heavy armour and blunt skill. I can also use some better magic items. Just gotta find more rune skulls. Once I am say, level 50 or so, I might go to Kvatch and Weynon Pryory and start the main quest. Then go to the Shivering Isles. At the moment, I'm happy just exploring, killing and looting with just the one Oblivion gate open in Kvatch, that is I am totally ignoring the main quest. In fact, I am ignoring all quests, selfish bastard that I am. Don't even feel like getting recommended for the Arcane University yet. :p

I do plan to install some high-level mods like the Apocalypse dungeon and the like. I also plan one day to start a new game and never practice or pay for instruction. That should make levelling vewwy vewwy slow and make me very skittish when entering a dungeon.

I was like that too a couple of weeks ago. Spent a long time only being able to summon a fire atronach and a wraith.:D
