Oblivion - help

Hi,

I started playing Oblivion today, and I must confess that my experience in this kind of games is ZERO.

I acepted a quest called "Unfriendly Competition", but I don´t know what to do to complete it. I am in the second "stage" of it, which says to follow a guy and that´s what I do but nothing happens!!

This is driving me crazy cause Oblivion seems to be a great game and I am already stucked.

ahhhh spoilers!

there are some good hints and tips in that link, but generally, when you are given a quest, and since this is a Thieves Guild Quest, best thing to do is either, a) talk to homeless people and bribe them to give you information, or b) talk to the guy who gave you the quest for more information.

The best way to know where you have to go is by activating your quest and MAP IT, so it shows the green arrow on where to go.

if someone has ZERO experience with Fantasy RPGs, it is always a good idea [imo] to read the walkthru first. . . . Oblivion is so HUGE, it won't really 'spoil' it a bit and most FPSers need 'direction'.

in the OP's particular case, this Quest is slightly bugged . . . you need to do certain things at certain times [and need to move CLOSE enough at a certain point . . . which is not so obvious].

that thread is a WEALTH of info and will answer 99.99% of all questions about the 'who', 'why' 'what' and 'how' pertaining to things Oblivion.

btw, i am STILL playing after 1035 hours . . . mods, cheats and all [as a Level 4 Vampire - again!] . .. of course not so much as before . . . . but with the mods, it is still really fun [especially one of the 'companion' mods].

One more hint is that sometimes have to scroll down in the conversation list.
