Oblivion help on clearing my name

EDIT:

Three questions;

1. Im also having trouble with the dark brotherhood quest to kill the guy in jail... WHere can I buy invisibility spells? I've looked all over...

2. Sooo, Yeah so once I got into the thieves guild by meeting the black guy in the back of imperial city i was able to clear my name with the law by visiting him, paying him, and having him use his thieves guild connections. Like anyone else who plays oblivion.

Well im further along in the game, though I havent done too much yet for the thieves guild, but after commiting a massacre on the entire town of Hackdirt I need to get my name cleared.

The brother aint behind imperial city like usual...

Did I miss a change? Is a new character somewhere else my new connection? Thanks... Sometimes I breeze through conversations and its possible I missed something....

Right now, for the thieves guild at least, im only at the part where i need to deliver 50$ worth of stolen crap to the guy in bravil just so I can start getting contracts in the first place.

3. Does it matter if I complete the main quest, like will the game end? Right now im trying to do every quest possible before I do the main quest, but does it matter? Does the game continue after tha main?

Thanks!

1. I dont know whats so difficult about that. I killed the guy in jail not having to open the gate. I shot a arrow and that was it...

3. You might want to do the first few quests of the main quest (stop after completing Kvatch) because it will get insanely hard later on as you level up. But yea, save the rest of the MQ for last or your experience with the game will be somewhat short and tarnished.

My problem with the sneaking jail quest isnt with killing the guy, its with getting past the guards in the first place...

one of the guys in the dark brotherhood underground lair sells spells including an invisibility spell, it break when you perform an action. It's enough to get you through to the jail cell across from the guy you have to kill and then use an arrow to kill him.
