Oblivion 360 question and complaints

Hey, I just want to point out first that I am happy oblivion was released on the 360. They did a good job for the most part.

Now, I started playing oblivion on the 360, and the loading is really getting on my nerves. There are like 5 different kinds of loading, with one (which happens alot) that takes 30 seconds at least. And even after those really long loading times, It will still take 5 seconds to load when I'm in the area when it says "loading new area". Absoloutly rediculous. I mean props for bringing this game to 360, but I am really pissed off about these loading times. They take all the money and who has to go through these loading times? us.

I also have a question about the saves. Is there a way to transfer a save on the 360 hd or memory card to the pc? I'm thinking about starting the game all over on the pc if the loading times are any better (are they)

I'd like to hear other pps thoughts about this.

Anyway, peace 🙂

well i have finished most of the game had to offer and unlocked all of the achievement points. Load time can be reduce if you clear your cache.

No you can't transfer the your xbox 360's Oblivion save to pc and contiune it ;* (

I really didn't have a issue with the load times , I played the game for 75hrs and then i just went on to play other games. I did clear the cache 3 times when load time got horrible but i ran/jumped to all places instead of using fast travel. I had 100 in Acrobatic and I was jumping really high and far distance :! I was literally jumping up and down instead of running to all the dungeons, city and other places.

Hey tuteja, how do you clear the cache? I'd really like to know 🙂
Hold the A button while the game boots up. I've heard that any button works, actually, but just use A to make sure. If you aren't holding the button when the first Bethesda logo starts to show, then you're too late. I would insert the game CD while at the dashboard, then hit and hold A to close the tray, and continue to hold A until after that logo disappears.

It will most likely help your loading times, especially if you've noticed it getting worse and worse.

I have the same problem as you Speed, and i've been told to clear the cache. Unfortunately i've been so busy i haven't had a chance to play Oblivion in over a week, so i haven't tried that yet. Let me know how it works for you, because that was my #1 complaint with the 360 version too.

Never had any loading problems, and I'm definitely a "pull my hair out during long load times" sort of person. Try the cache clear.

Yeah I think that might of actually worked... I'll get back to you guys and let you know, but looks good right now.

Why don't they tell this to people in the manual or something?? people like me without anandtech can be going insane cuz of those loading times..

Anyway thanks guys
