O.K. I admit I am deep in the weeds with BOSS, OMOD Manager and Wrye bash. This is the first time I've used any of them and still only have a vague idea on how to use these managers. Anyway, BOSS saya I have "dirty edits" (121 itm and 256 UDR records)in Knights of the Nine and need to clean with TES4Edit, which I understand is dangerous to use? Everything in game is going fine. So, do I use this TES4 like BOSS says? And is it fairly easy to use for just this one edit? Knights was not a separate download, but was included in the Oblivian DVD. So, what would you advise me to do?
Thanks for helping,

You clearly know way more than me.

All I can do is suggest you ask for help on the elder scrolls nexus.

TES4Edit is yet another tool to help you to reduce conflicts if you decide to load a lot of mods. Is it necessary? If you're running everything fine maybe NOT.

Otherwise if you need to, you can download it from the Nexus site, extract and put in it's own folder in the Oblivion directory. Then you can launch it straight from the Wrye Bash interface. It's one of the icon on the bottom.

Go here to see the instruction on how to use it.

http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php/TES4Edit_Cleaning_Guide

Go straight to "Section #2: Actual Cleaning Instructions" if you want to get right to it.

I recommend backing up the original "Knights of the Nine.esp" that's in your data folder. I'm sure the utility will also back it up if it makes changes, but better to have an extra copy to be sure.

TES4Edit will only edit the .esp file and should output a new, clean version of "Knights of the Nine.esp" after you follow the instruction.

If for some reason you run into problems when running the game, you can restore your old "Knights of the Nine.esp" by copying over it.
