I didnt know if i should have posted this in my orginal post of looking for an animated OS.
After spending a whole night messing with and tweaking my GFs Object Dock I noticed that her memory usage has gone up quite a bit as in Explorer.exe. It hovers around 30mb on boot which is not satisfactory for only having 256mb ddr (yes i will stick more ram in time a dimm broke when my dumb ass tried to install the ram blindly). My main rig has like 5 times as many processes and my exporer.exe only sits around ~10mb.
I did not monitor what programs she installed but its basically stock xp with NAV (which i also want to get rid of). It may be SP2 that upped explorer.
So question is I cant see where this memory leak in explorer.exe is coming from?
Note: Its my old dell C400 laptop w/ XP sp2
Ive done all the maintenance (virus, spyware, hijackthis, set visual effects for best performance...)
Tell me if im missing something or if its just one of those weird things that girlfriends do to your stuff that you have no idea how it happened and they say "all i did was check my email"?
