OBIE TRICE!!!!

UNCjigga

:Q

Wow this guy is hardcore...just heard that song "Follow My Life" on the radio...this guy is just as disturbed as Eminem (what is it with these Detroit rappers?) Song has a catchy beat to it...pretty soon I was bumpin' with the bass turned up (on my factory stereo with no subs!!) 😛

How's the rest of the album?

haven't listened to it yet, but if it's the same quality as his labelmate, 50, then I'm sure it's good. Is Dre doing the beats on it?

I think Dre and Em produced it...with more work being done by Em this time (compared to 50's 'Get Rich or Die Trying'.)

Awww, crap. Is this gonna be like the Seattle bands flooding the airwaves?

Sigh.

No this will be worse. At least the seattle bands produced _some_ listenable music.

OBIE TRICE!!!!
REAL NAME, NO GIMMICKS! 😛
Obie used to be in d-12.
actually, i think you are referring to Bugz, an original member of d12 who has since passed on.

obie is actually a friend of Bizarre's (a d12 member). obie had a good underground street buzz to him. after the marshall mather lp dropped and gave eminem his acclaim, bizarre took obie to em's studio, and when em was in his car ready to go into the studio, bizarre drove next to em and obie leaned his head out the window and spit a rhyme. em was impressed by this and signed his first solo artist to Shady/Aftermath.

So grab ya cups of Beer!
put em up lets Cheer!
Here's a toast to all my
soldiers who aint here!!

Now grab ya cups of Gin!
Put em up, lets Win!
Here's a toast to never
looking back again!

CHEERS!

Did anyone else notice that out of 17 tracks, only 5 or so are JUST Obie? He cant really carry a song by himself. He serves as a decent second man to Eminem, but his solo songs lack the depth Em and 50 give them. Cheers is disappointing, even with everyone and their mom guest appearing on it.

Obie Trice is terrible.

he is a multi millionaire now so i dont think he gives 2 $hits about what you think of him

i am not supporting RaiseUp but this is the stupidest comeback I have ever read or heard. It has absolutely nothing to do with anything and proves nothing.

This Obie CD is absolutely terrible. RaiseUp was not wrong in this fact. Eminem needs to step back from the production board, let Dre do the producing, and get back to writing Dre's lyrics. The whole shady-aftermath camp is going downhill. Get Rich or Die Trying is garbage compared to 50's work before being signed to shady. And what the hell? I heard they dropped Rakim - one of the few rappers that they couldnt mess up - haven't confirmed this one yet though
