Every chinese restaurant I've ever seen serves chicken feet. Maybe half of them have dim sum.

Where do you live?

I grew up in ohio. Around me were lots of Chinese restaurants but they only served americanized food including the ones owned by first generation immigrants.

When I moved to the east side of Cleveland I moved into the middle of "Chinatown" (it was like 4 blocks) and they had real Chinese food there. So its very situational.

I will say that over the years Americans have become more open to non European ethnic foods.

This is a problem only if it goes beyond encouragement and becomes legislation or decree via one of the federal government's many regulatory agencies.

If it doesn't go beyond encouragement, it's no different than Barbara and Laura Bush's promotions of literacy and womens' rights groups.
Agreed, the bully pulpit is all about encouragement.

Personally I think the Messiah should be able to eat whatever he wants. Dude looks like a crackhead. Slide some big greasy cheeseburgers and ribs his way, Michelle, before you starve the brother.

So, according to the OP, if even the healthiest person in existence indulged in chicken wings and other typical fare of a SuperBowl party, they'd be a hypocrit? And, the OP is trying to make an issue out of this? Idiocy.

Not YET. Hopefully thats coming soon and we can drive more family owned businesses into the ground because we should all just be employed by government and the big businesses that Obama takes his bribes from.

Project much? Paranoid often?

Apparently so...

Anything the current president or the Democratic Party do is, by definition, inherently evil. Didn't you get the memo?

Much like Obama being unprepared to be President, the American left was unprepared for it as well. Giving speeches is easy, leading a country is not. If Obama can't handle this type of criticism (And the left in general) perhaps you should step aside and let someone else run the country?

Well guess what? Healthy people are going to be affected by Obama's attack too. So yes, it is hypocritical. Obama does not understand the concept of self responsibility. He wants to shackle our freedom and doom our liberty.

Start charging parents with neglect. One of two things will happen: all the stupid parents will be in prison and stop breeding, or children won't be so fat.

Kids can only eat what their parents give them. Fixing the parents is the correct solution. Taking away responsible people's choice is the wrong one.

You will bankrupt the nation trying to maintain all those jails

So I'm in a hotel on business and happen to catch Bill Maher on HBO. Usually I think he is a pretentious asshole but this clip is dead-on about the utterly ridiculous hysteria.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2Mbs2gz5ac rant starts at 2 minutes.

He points out first ladies always had the opportunity to pick mundane non-controversial issues to promote. Like Laura Bush working against illiteracy and Lady Bird Johnson worked on planting wildflowers along the highway to make America more beautiful.

Now that the right wing is in full swing hysteria they are making an issue out of a first lady's cause. You guys are absolutely pathetic, I mean if Bill Maher is honest in saying that Matt Drudge posted a story about pedestrian deaths rising because Michelle Obama encouraged people to walk then Drudge must be psychologically damaged to be able to possess such hatred.

So for all the right wing partisan hacks: just look in the mirror, realize you most likely have an intellectual capacity that exceeds a 5 year old and walk away from this pathetic strawman.

So as soon as they come to north america they radically change how they made food? That doesn't sound very likely.

usually they start doing things people in their ethnic community are doing. so mexican food is actually more authentic in chicago, where mexican immigration is rather new, than houston, where there's 150+ years of history.

so yes, immigrants do change how they make food.

Yeah, I'm sure Obama would have handled 9/11 and Katrina - with no Katrina lesson's learned - much more super duper than Bush...haha, the delusion is strong with you.... I can hear Obama at ground zero: "We can't hear you!" Silence. "Yo, we can't hear you!!!" "Calm people....my teleprompter is almost set up. Lets all turn to Mecca and bow as a show of respect while we wait..."

Nothing Obama has done to date or in the future will surpass starting a war over false pretenses, costing the lives of over 4500 U.S. soldiers and adding almost 1T to our debt.

Starting two wars that needed to be started, which means spending the money that it takes to win wars...soldiers, and civilians, die in war.

You want to wait another 700 years for these Muslim dominated sh1thole countries to - possibly - progress to where we are now? I don't. And no POTUS after 9/11 should either.

The POTUS of the US isn't in a position after 9/11 to take it in the face and not do anything. I know this destroys the decade long Bush has a western slang and doesn't have a silver tongue'd public speaking demeanor hatefest that ya'll have had going on....I guess you'll just have to deal with it huh?

After 9/11, the gloves were off, period. When the POTUS is getting intelligence - which he doesn't go and get himself, scrub himself, etc, he depends on the system under him to do that: This is a F'ing given btw - that says a current dictator is pursuing WMD, and said dictator is known scumbag, and not only is a known scumbag, but a scumbag who plays the system repeatedly - meaning, he'll just keep playing it to buy time - it's time to stop F'ing around.

Saddam, and his sons, had a free pass to GTFO. They wanted to do what they'd always done, play the game. Except, this time, POTUS wasn't playing. Apart from removing Saddam&Co, changing Iraq (and all that goes along with that), that was the message that needed to be sent to that region.

The problem is, little whiners want to collectively whine because they don't want their news feeds to have bad news on it, want conflicts to be solved with one relatively cheap Tomahawk missle, want bad guys to just be nice, want all these things, so they can just concentrate on Dancing with the Stars...oh, and hating Bush because he has a western accent and doesn't speak well publically, and beat their robot Gore (who's such an honest individual, he goes on to run the biggest scam yet, Scam and Trade).

But keep on the WMD kick, whatever you need to do to keep that Cup O Rage full....
