"The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 23% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-five percent (45%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -22. That’s the lowest Approval Index rating yet measured for this president"

"Overall, 43% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. Fifty-five percent (56%) disapprove. "

I think that the illegal immigration spectacle that has been going on for the last couple of weeks has hurt Obama, especially the Coldoron thing.

Do we really need a new Rasmussen Poll alert every other day on how shitty whomever's numbers are?

Yes, we get the fact that you hate Obama, and the Democratic party in general but we don't need daily threads about it.

Mo debinitely. However the mainstream media will be pushing him full strength come August or so. And as the economy improves, his numbers should rise a bit as well.

Here's the new part:

"Enthusiasm for the president among Democrats, which bounced following passage of the health care law, has faded again. Just 48% of those in the president’s party now Strongly Approve of Obama’s performance. That’s down from 65% earlier."

The president is a complete clodd and does not have a clue how to talk to a human being. He is too busy shoving his foot up his own ass. I think maybe he is showing his true colors and people are not quite stupid enough to believe in his change, or to even need his stupid change.

And if he doesn't get a handle on the Gulf oil spill his numbers are gonna fall even further. Yet, there really is not much he can do but give another speech.

Obama - "Make no mistake about it. I simply will not rest until I piss off the entire country. Time to get to work!"

I have to admit a certain admiration for politicians willing to do what they think is right and damn the consequences. Bush had the same quality. It's about all I can admire about either.

with those number he should easily win another 4 years. But was in the single digits and still managed a win with the help of his brother even.

That didn't stop people from criticizing Bush in matters he had no real control over. :hmm:

Again?

Dick Cheney said "polls don't matter"

When you have 4 major "news" outlets "getting a thrill up their leg", he's right. They will put the support behind him again and start with the propaganda soon enough. That should get the sheeple left rallied a bit to bounce his numbers for a while.

1) polls don't mean a whole lot at this point in time.
2) Obama's numbers are tied directly to the economy. If the economy turns around and the job market improves significantly, all of a sudden Obama is back to walking on water. If not, they're not going to like him, but the media cheerleaders will do enough to get him elected again.

Lets see... Bush's numbers in the gutter. Obama's numbers in the gutter. Anyone know if God or Jesus is planning on running 2012?

The immigration debacle, especially the Calderon thing is hurting and will continue to hurt Obama. On some things the country is very much split, but on some things like illegal immigration, 70%+ of the people are on the same page.... and Obama is on another page. I've talked to solid Obama fans who said they were disgusted by the way Calderon insulted the US and Obama pretty much helped him do it. Sure, they are still democrats and would still vote democrat in the election, but they lost some of their enthusiasm and will probably sit out the midterm election.

He was against the public on healthcare

He is against the public on immigration

Throw in the apology tour, his slow response to the oil crisis, his failure on pretty much all of his campaign promises (iraq, guantanamo, cspan transparency, etc.)

Unemployment near 10%

Skyrocketing national debt

Yep, its just the economy.

I think the reality is that for people who are not into politics or "politics aware" for the most part, most of that stuff doesn't really matter. The economy matters to everyone (unemployment is a part of "the economy" for this discussion), and people tend to be unhappy about the government in bad economic times. If Obama could fire up the printing presses and print enough money and somehow magically turn the economy into a boom economy, people would see him as the great savior the way the media portrays him.

Their accuracy after 2006 has been terrible.

"We were right on the money in both the 2004 and 2008 presidential elections. "

"In 2008, for example, we showed essentially the same result for just about every day over the final six weeks of the campaign."

"In 2008, for example, Rasmussen Reports was the first to show Barack Obama gaining on Hillary Clinton among Democratic primary voters, the first to show John McCain on top among Republicans and the first to show the massive unpopularity of the bank and auto company bailouts.

"In 2009, while most firms showed New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine with a modest lead in his reelection bid, Rasmussen Reports consistently showed challenger Chris Christie ahead and eventually matched his margin of victory."

"In 2010, Rasmussen Reports was the first to show Republican Scott Brown had a chance to defeat Martha Coakley in a Massachusetts Senate race."

Rasmussen Reports does not do polls-for-hire
