You. Well not specifically, but generally its true. Obama wants to focus more on homegrown terrorism.

In a broad redefinition of U.S. strategic priorities, President Obama has said that the United States must revitalize its economic, moral and innovative strength if it is to continue to lead the world.

Just as it did after World War II, the United States today must shape an international order and system of global institutions that reflect a 21st-century reality in which "America's greatness is not assured," Obama says in a 52-page "National Security Strategy" released Thursday morning.

Page 22:

Deliver Swift and Sure Justice: To effectively detain, interrogate, and prosecute terrorists, we need durable legal approaches consistent with our security and our values. We adhere to several principles:
we will leverage all available information and intelligence to disrupt attacks and dismantle al-Qa’ida and affiliated terrorist organizations; we will bring terrorists to justice; we will act in line with the rule of law and due process; we will submit decisions to checks and balances and accountability; and we will insist that matters of detention and secrecy are addressed in a manner consistent with our Constitution and laws. To deny violent extremists one of their most potent recruitment tools, we will close the prison at Guantanamo Bay.

Sounds good, let's hope he sticks to his words. The last part had me thinking though. Closing Gitmo simply as a defensive measure is not bad in itself, but to think thats the only reason is a bit reserved. Wish they would have taken the same action with troops on Saudi soil, could have prevented 9/11. Then again I could be just nitpicking. *shrug*

Obama's approach is to favor enemies and terrorists while cripping the US in its abilities - a reason we have had 4 (four) terror attacks on Obama's watch and more to come. Tea parties are the real enemy to O&Co. The terrorist, the illegal, the tax consumer, the law transnationalists, the unions, hostile foreign governments - these are the winners under Obama. Everything is backwards with Obama the destroyer.

God lord almighty, I almost regret voting for Obama, when it comes to Afghan policy and overall international terrorism policy, Obama almost seems learning challenged, and is seemingly absolutely amazed when he finds that aping GWB policies deliver GWB shit results.

In all honesty, as a dimocrat, I and many others had hoped for much better out of Obama, but somehow missing in any action, is that desire to vote for an certainly worse republirat alternative that is an even more certain to fail choice. A quarter of a loaf is better than none. But far short of what we all need.

The point being, Obama is doing much better than GWB&co, but still, Obama still needs to abandon many failed assumptions of the past before he can really advance our nation.

I posted this in another thread, but perhaps it's even more relevant here...

Progressive Naomi Wolf interviewed by libertarian Lew Rockwell in 2008 (Bush)...
http://www.lewrockwell.com/lewrockwell-show/2008/10/31/58-americas-slow-motion-fascist-coup/

And again yesterday (Obama)...
http://www.lewrockwell.com/lewrockwell-show/2010/05/26/152-obamas-satanic-rogue-empire/

And when Lemon Law says, "Obama is doing much better than GWB&co," I want to agree with him, but the sad truth is he's just as awful.
