Hussein hates America, it becomes more apparent by the day.

Another member suggested that the her209 was being sarcastic when he post this idiocy. You don't appear to have enough intelligence to know what the word means so I'll repost my reply to him:

Did Obama solicit Hamas' statement endorsing him? NO!

Did Obama have any say in the name his parents gave him? NO!

Was Saddam Hussein, or the late King Hussein of Jordan relevant to the current Presidential election or to Barrak Obama when he was named? NO!

Are you a bigoted jackass for continuing to raise the subject as if it were anything other than unmitigated bullshit? YES?

it is my strong preference to refer to him as hussein, his name is hussein as far as i'm concerned, consider it his stage name if you will ;)

in fact, im debating putting a hussein 2008 sign on my lawn.
we got W, Sidney and Hussein... i'll go with that

i dont really need the rationale and im not sure why it bothers you so much.
HUSSEIN.

So - what is it about "HUSSEIN" that so tickles your mind?

I like it because it makes people think he's a Muslim LOL :)

Well, B-man - I don't know if that's what the intention of "The Cornballer" is - which is why I'm interested in his deep study of names throughout history.....

Balls, or lack of, is in your court "The Cornballer."

What a sad day for America.. our choices are 1) another 4 years like the disaster we've had for the past 8 years, or 2) a man who is either a racist himself or has such incredibly poor judgment that he has these racist nutjobs as his spiritual advisers for decades without knowing that they spew forth nothing but racist hatred. What a sad day indeed........

Let's go from that - you feel Mr. Obama is "a racist?" So in the end, what would he be seeking to do if he became the President?

Hyperbole is a word - it shouldn't be mindset......

He's either a racist or has extremely poor judgment (or he's flat out a moron, and I don't think that's the case). It's not about what he would be seeking to do, I don't want someone with terrible judgment or someone who's a racist as president, regardless of his race or political ideology.

What do you fear if he became the President?

Best case/Worst case?

I do it because I like Hillary and I want to break down Obama.

If I can plant the seed that maybe, MAYBE way deep down in the back of your mind that there's a shadow of a chance that he might actually be Muslim, then I've done a good job :)

If Hillary doesn't get the nomination, first, I'll have a good cry, and then during the general election, I'll say the phrase, "Black Muslim crack!" as often as possible :)

Best case, he turns out to be a reasonable man making smart decisions. Worst case, his poor judgment comes into play in some way and he causes great harm to the country.... The other possibility (though I think less likely) is that he's just a racist himself, so he'll use his power as POTUS to further racist policies.

Interesting. What do you believe those racist policies would be that he'd seek to further?

Best case:
-- He turns out to be a David Palmer
-- My taxes (income, SS, cap gains) do not go (back) up AT ALL
-- He is blocked from nationalizing health care
-- After 4 years I don't use him and Carter in the same sentence while using the word "disgrace."

Worst case:
-- He turns out to be Carter on steroids
-- He negotiates or tries to talk to despots who want to change or destroy our way of life.
-- My taxes go up massively
-- Massive economic slowdown/bear market continues for most of his 1st term.
-- The 1970s all over again (policies, thought process, etc, etc)

ah, now that's a focused take.... but realize that your taxes are going to go up no matter what.... For the last eight years, the party has gone on and in the end you and I - all of us - will pay the bill....

Party's over, folks. Reap the whirlwind...........

So I would like people to tell me again that this guy is not a extreme leftist priest.

Yes folks the Catholic church is full of ideologues in their clergy both right and left leaning and it has always been this way.

You pay the bill...

I'm going to hire an attorney to reduce my tax burden.

Higher taxes = Removal of party who voted for them next election cycle.

You know this, and I double dog dare the Dems to try it.

The problem with best case/worst case scenarios is that no matter how good or bad your vision is it could always be better or get worse.

One worst case example is that Dems will likely have the majority in the house and senate. If Obama is elected, he will instantly go from inexperience junior Senator to, arguably, the most powerful individual in the world. The decision to hand that kind of power to an individual should not be made without intense scrutiny of character and judgment. If the Bush administration has taught us anything it should be not to blindly believe the words a presidential candidate.

As President, Obama would appoint other individuals to positions of power in cabinet positions and justice positions. We should have some level of confidence that the persons he has, and will have, as close associates and advisors will be the kind of people we want to have controlling the fate of the nation.

Many say that Obama will be centrist and work across the isle but most of his support comes from the extreme left of our system, his record is that of a socialist, and he has known communist ties. Would he be, best case, a political uniter or, worst case, the front man for some kind of Marxist movement?

Obama would be inheriting a federal budget in need of serious balancing yet all we hear are more spending proposals and more taxes. Would he, best case, cut wasteful spending and improve necessary spending or, worst case, carelessly tax more and spend more?

Obama claims to be a uniter that will bring the country together yet his campaign has shown us an extremely divided Dem party and seems to be increasing the racial divide. Would he, best case, be seen as the uniter that brings people together regardless of race, sex, or political ideology or, worst case, further widen the political and racial divides?

The questions can go on and on. This is true of any candidate but I've never seen followers so willing to accept, on blind faith, that the answers they would hope for are the ones they will get. Most Obama followers seem unwilling to see that there are other possibilities and that we should not simply accept words or promises. We should thoroughly scrutinize everything about the man, every close association, every word and every action, past and present.

i still can't decide wether hillary or the repubs are more desperate and fearful of obama at the moment, and i don't blame them because bush, cheney and rove have done an excellent job of conditioning them that way. hide the women and children 'cuz that thar black muslim boogeyman is com'in and there ain't nothi'in that's gonn'a stop 'um. woooo... lol

by now i'm pretty sure most folks have decided one way or the other who they want to send to the white house. so, with that in mind, all i'm seeing here is anti-obama folks making weak petty attempts at attacking him and those that support obama having an easy time discrediting these transparent attempts at smearing him.

what really cracks me up are those posers who are anti-obama declaring that they actually were on his side but are now going against him due to his "lack of judgement" and hoping to sway others to do same by example. lol

what's even more fun is watching four news channels simultaneously and see how their agenda colors their coverage of the same event like the one being discussed here. fox really stands out from the rest in this regard and makes their commentators look embarrassingly comical at how they painfully try to smear obama with blown out of proportion trivia.

I think you need to worry about Obama's assocaitions. You know bush and Cheny's asscoicaiotns are greedy war monger corporate type(so envious) but Obama's assocaiates seem to be fear race-bating, communisit-fascist-terrorist sympathizer mongers. At least we know Bush-Cheny types are Pro-American.

I don't want my President speaking to terroist. I want him to kill terrorist or anybody who threatens my country and my way of life. It's simple, there's no debating it.... they're the bad guys, we're the good guys and bad guys need to lose. Anything else is just another intellectual exercise while accoomplishing nothing but the merit of an argumen or point of view...pointless.

Obama's saying bye to his church:
Sen. Barack Obama is leaving Trinity United Church of Christ, his longtime religious home on Chicago's South Side and a place that has triggered repeated controversies during his presidential bid.

Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt confirmed that Obama is essentially resigning from the church. No other details were immediately available.

http://weblogs.baltimoresun.co...eaving_his_church.html

I'm guessing he's off to join a mosque...because he's Muslim

Maybe a madrassa.

Madrassa. Hussein.

The rumor mill says that Obama is attempting to distance himself from the damaging judgment questions by ending his membership with this church.

Edit:
I guess the rumors were true. :)

He is throwing the whole Church under the bus. If he felt it was the right thing to do - it should have been done before the campaign and on the spot. Or maybe as the first story broke.

Why now after all this time? This is the act of a man who is deeply afraid of his public image.

There is something very insincere about doing it now this late in the campaign.

This is hardly "late" in the campaign by any stretch of the imagination.

Obama distancing himself from the entire church is a good move for him and for the church. The church can perform as it wishes without be percieved as a surrogate for Obama, and Obama is free to define himself, as it should be.

Personally, I rue the day that religion became such a big factor in American politics. Nothing good-at all-has come of the intense religious focus of the last two decades in my opinion-but a whole lot of bad and unamerican behavior has resulted from this plague upon our house.
