The Associated Press has reported that Zeituni Onyango, a native of Kenya, has been living in Boston despite losing an appeal for asylum four years ago.

The Associated Press reported that Onyango had been instructed to leave the country four years ago by an immigration judge who rejected her request for asylum from her native Kenya. Onyango is living in public housing in Boston.

I've found many of the republican attacks quite idiotic throughout this campaign, but this one takes the cake. How does having an illegal alien aunt have any real reflection whatsoever on Obama?

How does that make Obama dirty? Unless his family is ridiculously close, I don't think a senator would be keeping tabs on his aunts, he does lead a fairly busy life. Let alone hear something regarding her status as a citizen...that's not exactly common dinner table talk. I'd think she would be too scared to tell anyone in the family that she didn't win the appeal.

Myself on the other hand....I have 3 aunts on my father's side, and 4 on my mother's side. I haven't talked to any of them from my father's side in a couple years, and that side of the family I'm pretty close with. On my mother's side, I haven't even met two of the four, and although I had Christmas with one of them last year, conversation and news was little more than current and discussion varied little from how everyone's day to day life was going.
