You really don't get it do you? In the last year he has given up on working together (other than select people that he cherry picks to take to dinner) with both sides on both ends of the table - and now would rather go to the public and spout off on other people in attempts to curve his approval ratings. He is trying to use the public as a weapon - and it has not - and never will - work.

I guess he thinks that if he does this he will go down as an innocent person? What a dumbass. Take a look back on history, you remember the president during the shitty times, you don't remember the congress/senate.

Rightfully so - it's POTUS job to delegate between the two to come to a compromise on execution.
