I am genuinely sorry American health care is out of control and most people cant have it. Its disgusting how drug companies in particular fuck over the American public.

But Obamas plan wasnt going to fix any of that, and like most Democrat ideas it would have been an ineffective free handout to the dirt bags of America, and a punishment to hardworking people who manage their lives well. If he had balls he would have taken on the insurance companies or big pharmaceutical and actually correct the problems. But he didnt. He pussied out and tried to sell us a band-aid for a gushing chest wound. Which is more insulting than anything else and since so many people are clueless, they actually rallied behind him. Now anyone who opposes the plan is gonna be labeled a villain cuz they "stole our healthcare" even though Obama was never gonna build any hospitals or send a single person to medical school.

Makes me laugh to think that the repubs were/are in large part the reason the health care program is what it is from the damaging compromises they demanded and got out of the Obama administration. And now they point to it and say what a piece of junk it is when they were complicit in the whole process all along, making sure it was as weak as possible so as to make it as repealable as possible.

And let's not forget that there's folks in those polls who want the law repealed because it doesn't go far enough due to what the business backed repubs put in it, and worse, took out. And then there's all the other folks in the polls that were fed a bunch of lie-filled propaganda from the repubs that actually believed all of it and never actually tried to find out what benefits they actually got out of the program.

It is the repubs worst nightmare that given time, all the people who are benefitting from the program actually find out about it and approve, despite the incessant lies coming from the repubs to prevent that from happening.

edit - I have to add though, the Dems are their own worst enemy as they did not do enough to inform their constituents what benefits were derived from the program's passage, and how the Dems failed at countering the propaganda from the right.

You need to get out more. The Obamacare is 100% Dem bill. They shuttered out the GOP and the US population as they developed the bill behind closed doors. Then Pelosi made the grand statement " You will know what is in the bill after it passes".

And still to this day the right will never get that quote correct... The right might have been shut out because they were saying, "No we don't want this" for everything and then instead of trying to compromise, played the game of lets lie about it through propaganda so the public got scared about it.

I recall the bill going to the different committees and was held up in the Finance Committee for the longest time.

The Republicans had multiple opportunities to have input in the bill but they stomped their feet and threw their tantrums like little children.

OK here is the exact quote:

She summarizes: “It’s going to be very, very exciting.”

“But we have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of controversy.”

Same thing IMO. She is such a wise and beautiful woman.

I'm guessing English is not your first language - nor one at which you are particularly adept.

The pictures in your post are NOT from any of the committee meetings developing the bill. They were from the Blair House Meeting after the fact. I was presidential grandstanding at its finest.

President Barack Obama, meets with Republican and Democratic leaders to discuss health care reform at the Blair House in Washington on Thursday, February 25, 2010. " Tuesday, the White House released a letter to congressional leadership from President Barack Obama which points to several GOP suggestions from last week’s health care reform summit targeted at improving the existing health care reform legislation already passed by the House and the Senate.

Your post fails.

I can't blame pcgeek11 one iota for his opinion, because he derived it from wearing free neocon-tinted prescription eyewear from FOX "News" that makes him see what he's told to see and ONLY what he's told to see from THEM. ;)

No shit, the pictures weren't supposed to be from the committees.

You're just in denial that Republicans were given plenty of chances.

Thanks for playing.

Nice try.

That was her quote and it says the same thing.

We will not be able to comprehend or understand what is in the Massive Unread Bill until it is passed and the smoke has cleared.

What is your problem.

Then why did you post them? I think you are lying because I exposed your stupidity for posting them in the first place.

Thanks for owning yourself.

Let me give you a hint. The part your having problems with is "Fog of controversy". You can look up each word in the dictionary if you want.

Pundits saying there were death panels, and paid for abortions just might be what she is trying to talk about. You can let your cognitive dissonance continue though.

I commend you on your ability to discern where committee meetings are held and admire you for that. Now if only you would use your impressive ability of observation to determine when you're being lied to and when you're hearing the truth......if it matters to you.

How do those mean the same thing?

Fog of controversy is intending to mean that whats really there is being clouded by controversy. As in the "Truth" is being obstructed by political rhetoric and lies. "Smoke has cleared" would be used after the "fog of controversy" had been cleared.

Show me where they were not shut out.

You are the one posting misrepresenting pictures and then trying to dodge and worm around the fact.

Why did you post the pictures. Are you too afraid to admit you screwed up?

I may be playing dumb but you are not playing dumb.

Did not see this post above mine. Again your reading what you want into it and not whats intended. The problem going on when she stated this, is people were lying about the bill, stating there were death panels and abortions being paid for. She made this statement in the sentiment that "After we pass this you'll know the truth about this bill, past all the lies". Saying comprehend or understand is adding your own condescending connotation.

Oh I see you want to split a hair.

When someone says " After the smoke has cleared " in essence they could just say "After the fog of controversy has been cleared".

How can you not see what I am saying. Are you really that slow or are you just splitting hairs.

LOL... see pictures above.

The only one misrepresenting and dodging here is you, even after being shown otherwise. But instead, you just spout Republican/Faux News nonsense.

Apparently I gave you too much credit for the playing part.
