President Barack Obama said Sunday in calling for continued diplomatic efforts but also pledging that all options -- including a military effort -- remain viable.

An Iran war is more justified than the iraq war w/its flimsy weapons of mass destruction.

we know iran has nuke reactors. its not only possible but also plausible that they could weaponize their nuke stuff.

hopefully isreal will have an active involvement in this since their the ones who will benefit the most from it.
(and probably the ones pushing us to help them w/the military strikes since its next to impossible for them to take out the nuke reactors themselves.)

Like I said when you want in let me know.

A good thing I'll say for Obama and that is he knows that war and military action need not be the same. In this he is clearly superior to the former WH occupant.

It is stupid to take the military option off of the table. That being said, we do not need to be involved in yet another war in the Middle East.

Yep, but notice Obama chose his words well not mentioning war other than commenting on that other than that term was being overused, but ruling nothing out and explicitly starting a peaceful solution was the goal. Well played.

Fox News yesterday had a couple of commentators basically calling Obama's response "weak" for no particular reason I could see (I watch Fox a lot at the gym), John Bolton and some random panelist. The interesting thing to me, and to Fox's credit, a point made by another guest, is that Obama actually has quite a bit of credibility when it comes to military actions. Somehow what he does with defense always enrages some conservatives (what were the odds?), but so far the action to rhetoric ratio has been pretty high. When he says military action against Iran is an option, it seems like something they should consider pretty carefully.

I haven't any respect for Newt so while you may be right I'll not pay him much attention :p

Seriously, if the subject of how the ME has been handled especially from a military perspective were to come up they'd be best served by keeping quiet.
