Not as much as corporations who use illegal are paying them not to, and you are likely enjoying the economic benefits of their labor and not complaining about that.

As I've said before, the best solution to illegal immigration is to have Mexico offer decent employment - not the free-trade farm destroying, drug-exporting mess it is.

why is it our job to provide mexico an economy? if that's the case, why not just annex the damn country and kill two birds with one stone (illegals/economy and drugs)?

go ahead and tell mexico the best solution to its immigration problems is to develop south american countries' economies and see how far you get (because south americans illegally cross mexico's borders, which mexico hates very very much)

Sigh, so predictable. Where did I say 'it's our job to provide Mexico an economy'?

It's tiresome having such predictable inventions misrepresent what was said.

Here's where a long post would go about our examining the issue of the Mexican economy looking for whether there are sensible policies, if I wanted to bother.

Do we *have* to destroy their corn farming, where the highest rate of illegals come from? Do we *have* to pour billions into the illegal drug trade, building cartels?

As for Guatemalans entering Mexico, yes, more prosperity in Guatemala would help reduce that; look at the causes of Guatemalan poverty for whether it can happen.

Are you a racist scumbag?

Chinese immigrant = keep them damn chinamen out of our country!!!!
Mexican immigrant = we should grant amnesty and have an open door policy

What's the main difference between a Chinese immigrant and a Mexican immigrant? It starts with R and ends with CE. No it's not rice.

FUCK. You seriously have me guessing now. What is it?

Some of you need to just face it, this country no longer has the balls to deport millions of people. Operation beautiful ray of sunshine happened in the 1950's and deported 1-2 Million illegal Mexicans, but that was then and this is now. So we are stuck with 2 options.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Wetback

1. Ignore it/Pretend illegal immigration is not a big deal [this is how it is now].
OR
2. Amnesty. Which is what will happen eventually at this rate.

Both options above are really the same btw. Both enable illegals to stay in the country and both options offer benefits to illegals.

On another note how does illegal immigration effect the current jobless rate in the country ? There are 30 million US citizens out of work, surely the illegals have contributed to that to a degree by taking jobs here and there from citizens since they will work for less.

And despite the lower pay Illegals receive they still make a decent wage in some areas. Construction work in FL is dominated by Central Americans [illegals], that work still pays 15$ a hour to them, which is close to double the minimum wage in FL. And Obama's new "bank" idea, ironically, is claiming that it will employ millions of construction workers...My first reaction was, employ illegal construction workers or legal ? It will be legal since that "bank" is coming from Obama and he would be stupid to do otherwise, but seeing as nearly every construction worker in major cities are illegals its easy to think otherwise at first.
