Prohibition = guns, violence, criminal control, people don't shoot up the block to maintain control of the alcohol market anymore do they? Right now it easy for them to make the connection between drugs, drug dealers, and guns and violence because they being illegal allows the underworld to control them. Want to help get the stigma of guns off of drugs? Legalize them. Take control of the market away from the thugs, and prisons and put it in the right hands. Decriminalizing personal possession so that millions are not defacto criminals, regulate production, and distribution to take the power from drug cartels and criminals, then they won't be able to attack guns in some off the wall unrelated way.

And besides all that, the second is a right, an individual one at that, in the Constitution, and reinforced by the Supreme Court, I have faith in our pro gun lobby that any attempt to back door it would be intercepted and crushed, like we always have.
I would support legalization of those drugs that can be shown to not have a debilitating or dangerous effect on individuals or society. Pot, for instance, is probably no more dangerous to the individual or society than is alcohol, and possibly less so. Most illegal drugs are not so benign. Drugs such as meth or crack or heroin render most users incapable of supporting themselves, whilst others such as PCP make the users outright dangerous to society. Legalizing these drugs will make more users which will worsen society even if it would weaken organized crime.

Ahh so you're not capable of carrying on a relevant debate, so it must be me that has "sniffed/smoked/drank" my brain cells away and that should "seek treatment" huh? Thank you for follow the cookie cutter mold of failure.

Please do us a favor and just go away, your aimless, petulant, diatribes are pointless, not related to topic, and a waste of time and space. If you think you can focus on the actual discussion at hand, and not ramble on, than please feel free to comment, just don't waste any more time trying to hide your failure by insulting others.

I was still considering quoting all your posts. :)
It could be a laugh to prove you contradict yourself all the time and that you forget so fast, although i find it rather saddening.
Every post you made, you insult me or other people.
You have not once come up with a viable explanation to defend your point of view. Nothing i have written, you have been able to explain from another point of view. All you do every time is your only trick. That is constantly rant with out any form of information of your WoD™ and that you are not part of that money making machine. All the world is shit and already lost in your eyes. Therefore it must be like that for everybody. I have some news for you. A positive attitude works...

I cannot insult you with the truth. You are a troll.
Good luck with your happy life.

Oh forgot, you always desire to have the last post. Be my guest. Be insulting.

The fact is that you can not half ass deal with these problems. Just legalizing pot is not going to take the power away from the violent foreign cartels, or stop meth cooks in AZ, or heroin importation by Afghanistan warlords. Shoot outs on border town are not what is going to happen, they ARE happening. Emergency rooms are not going to fill up from drug fueled gang violence, leading ER nurses to blame guns, they ARE filling up, and they ARE blaming guns. It is not going to cause out prison systems to be filled and clogged with non-violent offenders, they ARE filled and clogged with non-violent offenders. the WoD™ has failed in EVERY aspect.

Worst case scenario for my conservative brothers and sisters, the government completely legalizes, controls the manufacture and distribution of hard drugs to medically approved junkies, crackheads, and coke fiends, the worst ones are completely doped up by the government ...they are contained. Crime would drop because they don't need to rob, and kill to feed a habit, some without having to live a life of crime to support their habit may even enter main stream society and get jobs, get bored of getting high, or just die. The mythology, and underground allure of the drug world is dampened, and in the long term use goes down. And the ones that are currently functional can proceed living their normal lives without a criminal record that haunts them their whole life.

Drugs such as meth or crack or heroin render most users incapable of supporting themselves, whilst others such as PCP make the users outright dangerous to society. Legalizing these drugs will make more users which will worsen society even if it would weaken organized crime.
This is a fallacy that has been disproven in a few studies of places that have tried it.

I am not saying that we should have Cocaine available for purchase at Walgreens, the harder drugs still need to be controlled, but it needs to be US controlling them, not violent drug lords. I'm am sure that it will not be pretty, and will take time before the benefits are fully realized, some will be immediate, one of those will be the relief on the over burdened justice system, and law enforcement. Billions of dollars will immediately be able to be reallocated where they are actually needed.
