What eveidence do they have that Russia was the one who hacked DNC?

How do they not know it's some kid living in the US who hacked it from his basement? Are Russian hackers really that more capable than elite American or Chinese rogue hackers?

http://www.cnn.com/2016/12/09/polit...-hacking-of-2016-election/index.html?adkey=bn

It's the collective judgment of the US intelligence community and independent computer security experts that Russia was behind the DNC hack. And who said that Russian hackers are more capable than ours? American government hackers are widely known to be extremely effective.

This should be a no-brainer investigation. No matter who you support you don't want foreign powers screwing with our elections.

Name and shame? Economic sanctions? Who cares.

Russia, or really the rest of the hostile world for that matter, will only care when boots are on their soil. That's the sort of standard that needs to be set if we want to set the world straight.

Bar the doors from republicans entering congress, pass an emergency war declarations on Russia, Iran, and North Korea, possibly China, and pass a constitutional amendment nullifying electoral college to get Hillary in office.

Who's with me?!!!

I certainly hope those McCain, Corker, et al are being honest and that they have real serious investigations. Gives me some faith that at least some of those guys are honest in their beliefs.

There should be an investigation
Yes there should be, and it looks like the outcome of this investigation is being pushed rapidly.

Maybe even before Trump takes office.

edit: I'm not implying that the outcome should in any way have an impact on Trump being sworn in.

He is our President-elect.

I'm just curious what action, if any, the incoming President would do if it the conclusion of the investigation is that Putin had his hands all over the US election of 2016.

It wont change the election. But we should know if the deplorables were charged up by a communist oligarchy.

Nothing good will come of this. I don't think Trumpeters really want to know how easily manipulated they are.

I'm finding it curious how many conservatives don't want to know if their election was interfered with or influenced by an outside state actor.

IF a state actor had influenced the election on your behalf, would you want to know? Would it change any of your fundamental political opinions? Moreover, would you want others to know that the election was rigged for "your team"?

I don't think the Trumpeters really want to know, and if you tell them... they will not be happy. They will act defensively and create a narrative that you're somehow lying and manipulating them by informing them.

I've said it many times -- unless you can show that the leaked information was false or made up, the source of the information really doesn't change anything. Is it true or not. Sure, it's good to know who's doing what etc, but it doesn't fundamentally change anything.

I have zero problem with an investigation, but I don't think it can result in much of anything regardless.

I think Clinton said it best when she was facing inquiry over the fake news she reported about the Benghazi incident:

You don't think it makes a difference if we know whether a state actor intervened in our elections or not?

You realize we will have elections again in the future, right?

If Russia had hacked Trump, and I am not saying they haven't already (as a precaution and to blackmail him) would you still feel the same way? If wikileaks started releasing every single email anybody with the last name "Trump" had ever written, during the presidential election, that would be fair to you?

Emails were once thought to be quite private, most people aren't 100% honest in their public life... I doubt any candidacy would survive the onslaught wikileaks unleashed, I was quite amazed at how mundane and un-incriminating the emails they found were. It was mostly a nothing-burger.
