No way, don't even think about it.

Reds rammed their agenda down the throat of America to the point of it's demise.

You can forget about anything other than working towards annihilation of the Anti-American Republican party especially along with you talk show puppets.

How is this new or different from Bush's own appointment of a "Cyber Czar" in 2001? Will Obama's choice include a new and improved secret special sauce?!

Oh, I get it, Obama is renaming it to "CTO"... how clever.

The profundity is weak with this one...

We tried that here in MA, my understanding is it didn't last long. Will be interesting to see how it works out for Obama's admin.

Both are totally generic titles, what matters is what their job responsibilities are. There is plenty of room for those two positions to not even be remotely the same thing...

Of course I'm willing to give Obama a thumbs up for moving away from the ridiculous, Orwellian naming convention that apparently people in the government decided was cool at some point. Czar? Are you freaking kidding me?

LOL.. ok.. I'll cede that point... I too have always hated the term "Czar." But, this still isn't something as wild or new as half the posters here seem to think...

I hope whoever gets that job is allowed a large team of assistants.

No, we believe in small government unlike you Republicans.

I'm not a republican. Nice try though. Also, there is a bit of Irony in your post considering the topic that is at hand. ;)

Your posts suggest otherwise

My posts suggest that you are an assbag. The majority of assbags on this forum happen to align themselves with democratic party ideals and I like to point out when they are being assbags. The whack jobs that hold ideal similar to the republican party already get bashed enough, although sometimes I jump on them too.

Poking fun of an entire political party is senseless when you get the majority of your hate from an online forum or mainstream media. The republicans and democrats are the same fucking people that do the exact same things.

For example, you bash the republicans for wanting a bigger government, yet the article is about a democrat creating a new area of government.

But see that is ok, because dems/libs are at one with their big govt nature, wheras republicans/conservatives put up the guise of being for small govt when in reality they are for even bigger govt than the dems...or at least so I am told.

Anyone else NOT want google managing their medical records?

Trust me, if you saw the systems that were currently managing your medical records you'd be a lot more concerned than you would be about Google.

Google has a much greater capacity to protect your medical record than do most of the current vendors in the healthcare industry.

QFMFT from someone who worked in the field, and to this day is prevented by non-disclosure agreements from telling you who has access to your health records.

Completely agree/ HIPAA my ASS

You completely missed my point. Users on Anandtech poking at one party or another has no real world correlation to the actual thoughts of the parties.

It isnt a bad idea. I question whether it is even feasible to have a CTO that revolves around administrations get anything meaningful done given the size of the federal govt.
