The real reason the right hates Obama is because he is black. That's right, race is at the bottom of it. No matter what they say, just like closeted gay republicans, closeted racist republicans cannot fully escape their deeply hidden true self.

The right associates blacks with crime, laziness, welfare queens, urban blight, and the Black Panther Party. They fear all these things, but now that racism is generally frowned upon in some public places, they have to resort to calling Obama race-neutral negative terms they don't even know the definition of.

It has nothing to do with them saying things that liberals don't like. This should be obvious. Do you ever see a thread started when Sean Hannity says he opposes universal health care? Of course not, even though it's something liberals don't like. You DO see a thread when Glenn Beck insanely pours gasoline on his guest while babbling about socialism and having a pretend Thomas Paine read Glenn's own diseased rantings because it's batshit insane. Surely you can spot the difference.

Considering these media figures are some of the most public faces of modern American conservatism, and their views are explicitly endorsed by millions of Americans, it's useful to point out just how fucking crazy they are.
