Live right now on MSNBC. Obama is giving a speech in Florida and in a concerted effort in multiple areas of the arena, a bunch of black folks stood up with signs saying "Blacks Against Obama."

I guess he handled it pretty well, but why do blacks think that Obama owes them something?

They probably got paid to do so. I bet in a week or two they'll be on FOX news giving an interview.

Ironically, because Obama is NOT the black liberation socialist that the wingnuts want us to believe. Jesse wants to 'cut his nuts off' remember? Why? Because Obama spoke like Bill Cosby right in front of the NAACP and... the NAACP clapped and cheered. Movin' on up.

Yea those incidents really threw him off his speech. He was noticeably fumbling around the rest of the way.

It's not obama that owes them, it's the US. Obama is just the method for deliverance.

Wow....

I really hope some of the Obamabots arent this dim. I mean, there are alot of smart people that support Obama. Tell me this isnt a general representation.

Not everything negative against your messiah can be dismissed and attributed to some conspiracy. Holy smokes...

And if you've been paying attention, then you know that Obama won't be delivering what they want.

That's makes for a good question. I wonder what it is specifically that these guys who showed up to protect against him really want the most? I also wonder why they believe Obama cannot give them whatever that is.

Obama allowed them in and hold up their signs. When the yelling started they were escorted out.

Guarentee anyone with signs of dissention won't get within 5 miles of a McCain rally.

Heh. I'm sure any tree-hugging commie liberal traitor who showed up at a McCain rally with an Obama sign would get his ass beat down by 100 McSamebots. :p

I saw some vets holding anti-McCain signs during his speech at the RNC. I'm guessing they were smuggled in but they were there and they made it on TV.

Some black people are upset because Obama, like pretty much every candidate ever, is more or less ignoring the issues facing black communities. There are plenty of, imo, valid reasons for Obama to do so, ranging from not wanting to alienate white/non-black americans, to the "issues" just being made-up or not very important on the national stage.

Still, as a black person, one might (irrationally) feel that a black man running for president should be doing more specifically FOR black people. It's entirely selfish and a bit racist, but I guess it's just part of the black identity and general feelings of persecution.. you know, 400 years and all that shit..

Lets remember when the primaries started Obama only recieved about 50% of the black vote, Clinton the other 50%. While they are on board now. I am willing to bet he isnt "black" enough for many people.

Do you have a link to the the 50/50 split? It would be nice to share with the 'blacks are racist because Obama got 90% of the vote against Clinton' people.

Some think he's not black enough while others think he's too black. Sounds like a good balance to me. ;)

http://www.lsjournal.com/100/story/17188.html

John McCain, the Republican candidate for president, has been using the word ?change? often in recent speeches, a tactic the Democratic candidate, Barack Obama, has been utilizing since the start of his campaign. McCain, during his rally Monday in Lee?s Summit, sent a warning to Washington, D.C. that ?Change is coming, change is coming, change is coming.? The U.S. Senator of more than 20 years appeared to strengthen his image as a reform candidate when he picked Sarah Palin, the first-term governor of Alaska, to be his vice presidential running mate.

But Obama supporters, particularly those gathered outside the McCain-Palin event at John Knox Village on Monday, said the Democratic nominee is the real agent of change.

That was hard.

HomeJS' post reads as though the 5 miles comment was sarcasm. Considering the Obama supporters were *outside* the event I think you need to try again.

Is it because he's not black enough or because they are against his policies?

They weren't protesting Obama's black half, they were protesting his white half.
