Imagine. Trump lied to his faithful and they lapped it up. Shocking I tell you. Absolutely shocking.

Well, Trump probably had no idea what actually happened. His campaign chairman probably told him about the event and put the typical brietbart spin on reality.

But hey Trump hired the scamster so it's still on him.

I'm mystified at how people are so willing to believe bullshit and live in an alternate reality because it rustles their jimmies just right. I don't understand the desire to believe lies and misrepresentations and run with it just because it feels good. It could be possible there really are that many genuinely stupid and gullible people, but my own life experience has not led me to believe that many people are that detached from reality. Even if something is not what you personally want it to be, how can you pretend it is just to feel good, when it really isn't ? At least to this degree. Most of us have some degree of self delusion, but that is not the same as these people who believe fucked up conspiracy theories or made up events that are just some random moron's typing onto 4chan, reddit or wherever... or pure nonsense of of Trump's mouth.

I feel bad for everyone south of the border. Even after his likely election loss, Trump will not accept it. That appears to be almost 100% a certainty. He's going to claim it was fraud after he loses and a large portion of his supporters will actually believe mass scale election fraud took place to take the election from him. The fallout from that is going to affect people's lives, but not his. He'll be shitting out his mouth while some of the loons who support him get themselves arrested or worse thinking the shit he spews is true. The man will become a cancer in American politics after he loses and will do his utmost to spread his filth wherever he can.

But what if Hillary loses? Will she concede to Trump? Hmmmm.... AFATC he will concede (not that he will need to).

Want to make a bet on that one? Not monetary. I just want to see you run with an "I love President Hillary Clinton" signature for a year.

It's just some kind of weird thing where the emotional side of the brain feels so strongly that the intellectual side of the brain doesn't bother trying to do any research, because they're already certain that what they want to believe is true. My dad (a reasonably smart and educated guy), for example, had no problem saying that Trump was a failure, loser, and scam-artist a decade ago, but then things got very tight for him due to the recession, and now anyone willing to stick it to "Wall Street" is at least a glimmer of hope. You won't ever see him with a Trump yard sign and he's one of the closeted supporters, but there are a lot like him that are willing to disregard anything for a slim chance of a miracle.
