Lobbyists aren't the problem. Congress is the problem.

And if you want to get rid of lobbyists, get government out of the market. It is the only reason they are there.

The lobbyists don't want that. Sorry, no dice. Next wing-nut idea please.

You can't bypass the problem of lobbyists because the government is in the market because the government is in the market because of lobbyists as much as lobbyists are there because of government. They go hand in hand and a diagnosis is not a cure.

He is right about one thing though. It is pretty much a Yin/Yang argument. One's side of corruption cannot exist without the other in most cases. I gotta say that I do blame Congress more than lobbyists for no reason other than I feel Congress should be the ones with the responsibility when it comes to this matter.

Blame does not cure.

No, but you can't cure until you find blame. I doctor can't prescribe until there is a diagnosis.

Of course, I wouldn't expect the Democrats to be any better than the Republicans in understanding that. They both like to solve problems without knowing why the problems exist in the first place. Which is why the both suck and solving problems.

Your only problem is that you hate yourself. Have you figured that out yet? Didn't think so.

The problem is always out there with the other guy or guys in your case, so we never look inside.
