On a tie in the electoral collage(2% likely) basically Obama wins the presidency but the senate chooses the VP.

Given that Lieberman is willing to vote with the republicans, which his insistent ?moderateism? will lead him to do, there is a chance the senate will split 50/50 in choosing a VP leaving Chaney to chose Palin as VP? this is about a 1 in 10 shot but a possibility.

Multiply that by the likelihood of Obama being assassinated and you've got the chances we'll have r-selvs a Hockey mom for a prez.

By definition a negative %, meaning you believe Obama has, in fact, a chance at being resurrected from the dead, is part of anything below 10% no?

edit:
i suppose you are correct Sr.

I added the answer you wanted :)

How about, 'the chance of him being raised from the dead is greater than Palin being his VP?

By the way, are you aware that many of our paranoid obsessional thoughts are really deeply hidden psychological wishes?

For example the fear that Mommy will be killed is the suppressed wish that she is.

Horrifying thought, but yout 1/10 chance I'd rather put more like a 1/100 chance, or less. I don't think the senate would be choosing Palin as VP. Even most republicans know she is an imbecile.

Are you sure they would put politics aside for the betterment of the country, if they knew they could get a republican in office and within striking distance of the white-house?

I went with 10-40% chance simply because unlike with normal presidencies, his replacement would be from the other party, giving people who support the other party a big reason to knock him off.

Ok, there are 2 things I really don't know.
First, doesn't the House pick both the President AND Vice President in the event of a tie?
Second, if it is the Senate, then wouldn't it be the NEW Senate that is elected this year, which has a zero percent chance of choosing Palin?

Why are we discussing morbid subjects that are very unlikely to happen? There's a better chance of the rapture taking Palin and we all know that's not going to happen because she's not morman.

Some would, many/most wouldn't, I have to admit.

I suggested a reason but it got no attention, of course.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if there are attempts...but I rate the chance for success low...10-40%

This is a morbid and idiotic topic, and Moonbeam is more right than most of you can even begin to realize.

About 5% less likely than McCain having a heart attack and dropping dead.

As to OP's VP selection process....wut? It ain't gonna be 50-50 in the senate after Nov 4.

Probably not, but there's somewhere around a 1% chance of it, given the indi's split from the dems.

Hum... maybe I want to die of a heart-attack and want the person i voted against to become president, I will have to think this over?

You won't get anywhere thinking. You will have to learn to feel.
