Oh God. I'm not complaining about the broken promise specifically because we knew that would go down in flames in no time just like Clinton's middle class tax cut.
I think what's ironic is how Obama severely criticized McCain during the campaign for his taxing of employer-provided healthcare. More ironic though is that he's going to tax the alternative to UHC to fund UHC. Hey, let's steal money from a system that's currently better to fund our broken medicare/medicaid system to make it better. The worse we make private health insurance, the better we'll look. In the end UHC will be better such that the plan will be a hit!
