I think being on that show is sufficient punishment for any jackassery he's been about lately.

Several reasons:
- get his message out
- appeal to the "normal folk", i.e., those that aren't tuned into cables news networks 24/7
- humanizes Obama, i.e., let's folks see the "dad/husband" side of him

I think it's demeaning for a president to go on anything other than a straight news show. He apparently sees The View show viewers as his base.

I thinks it's a bad idea.

Yea, I can say bad things about Obama.

I think he was trying to get some of the women voters back that he has lost since the election. Heard some poll that 60 something percent of women voted for him, but now only 40 something percent still support him.

Just a guess, who knows.

He's been on twice before... those women love him because of his charm. He can literally go on that show and tell people that there is no unemployment in America, and they will agree.

Whatever, Whoopi is highly critical of Obama and his policies, and her vote for him in 2012 is not a sure thing.

Politicians, especially the head of a state, are always 50% salespeople. It's not enough that they have ideas, they have to cram them down people's throats as well.

This is something we've come to demand from them. I don't see the problem.
