Isn't there a rule about adding your own input? For some reason your frothing rage comment seems less like input and more like something else...

Anyway, this is all spin. Hillary wants to appear tough and Obama wants to look experienced. I doubt we're really going to know exactly do on foreign policy. As long as their policies aren't as batshit crazy as the majority of the Republican party's foreign policy, they'll be in good shape.

Obama is running his campaign into the ground with his mistakes.

After answering the question didn?t he try to essentially strike his comments from the record?
I think about 2 seconds after the words left his mouth he realized his mistake and tried to fix it, but it was to late for that.

Add that the screw up over meeting world leaders and it is clear that Obama is not ready to be President.

Unless someone else gets in the race Hillary is going to walk away with it.

God, voting for Obama is going to be like voting for Berry Goldwater. We have a mad man running for President. Dr. Strangelove in black face. If Bush and Kerry are the kinds of reliable people Americans pick to run, I'm voting for this lunatic.

If you don't like him it's a sure sign he's ready for Beatification. You're like a weather vane that points backward.

My reading of Obama's comments are that he would not use Nukes against the Bin Ladinists even if they used a Nuke against the U.S.

That fits my definition of a pacifist....

Hilary has a bit of Cheney in her...I actually believe she would use a Nuke just to look "tough"

Hilary is actually scary

That makes him intelligent.

Al-Qaeda is in Iraq and Afghanistan, both countries which we've invaded, overthrown, and installed US-friendly governments in addition to military facilities. What if al-Qaeda steals a nuclear weapon and detonates it on US soil? Are we going to drop a nuclear weapon on the leaders we put into office? Drop it on the people we vowed to protect?

Al-Qaeda is a precision target. What about a nuclear weapon makes it a viable precision weapon?

Obama clearly knows more than you.

Drop some on the most sympathetic villages. I?m sure we know the locations where hostiles towards us run the deepest and where their hideouts and supporters are most likely located.

Jpeyton, your argument is that Mutual Assured Destruction no longer works. If so, how do you argue in FAVOR of nuclear proliferation with countries like Iran if you believe MAD no longer exists to ensure those nukes are only protective?

From your point of view, from the Islamists point of view, and from Obama?s point of view they can detonate nuclear weapons on us and we wouldn?t respond in kind. The incentives not to strike us suddenly vanish; we appear weak and ready for the executioner.

i don't believe he limited his comments to using nukes in Iraq or Afghanistan. Besides, neither of those countries could supply the Bin Ladinists with a nuke.

you've reworded the issue in a manner i never stated, so your statements don't really answer anything

WHO THE FCK IS THEY

Seems like we are already responsible for the deaths of THOUSANDS OF INNOCENTS IN IRAQ .. Who is the THEY we would bomb if some little group like al-qaeda lit off a suitcase nuke in GCS?

The make-believe brown people that AT P&N xenophobes love to talk about.

So if al-Qaeda stole one of thousands of minimally guarded Russian nuclear weapons, who would we drop our bomb on?

If we use a nuke on Al Qaeda, can't they then collect the radioactive material and use it in a dirty bomb on us?

Afghanistan was already stone age like.. so we bombed it back further

Iraq was a fully functioning society.. so we destroyed that whole country

What next?

And people wonder why Iran wants nukes? If I was a citizen of another country I would want my govt to have nukes to protect us too.

If that's your definition, you can nuke 80% of Iraq, and probably a good number of American and European cities too. I'm sure al-Qaeda will have a good chuckle about it. We nuke a village (men, women, children, elderly) of "sympathizers" that al-Qaeda could care less about; an exercise in overkill that draws the entire world even further against us, supercharges nuclear proliferation around the world (especially with "unfriendly" nations) and does nothing to damage said terrorist network.

I hear RIAA is hiring, and you'd make a great addition to their team of blundering decision makers.

MAD exists with nations and governments, not small groups of highly trained terrorists who act independently of the said nations and governments. If we have proof there was cooperation, that's a different story.

You damn well f'ing know, this isn't the first conversation you've ever had in P&N.

Allow me to spell it out:
Islamic Supremacists, otherwise known as Islamists for short.

The entire QUESTION of ?They? is also very off topic. The topic is more relevant to, do you believe in Mutual Assured Destruction? Obama, the Islamists, and several people here believe there shouldn?t be any ? that we should shut up and accept eradication.

As long as we?re dead we won?t upset you or any of those foreign opinions you cherish go greatly, right?

They have those in Indonesia and Malaysia. Are we going to nuke the Petronas Towers when al-Qaeda lights one off on US soil? Are we going to nuke Chechnya and pray Russia accepts the fallout? Should we drop nukes on mud huts in North Africa? If we use our Marine Corps. definition, we should be nuking every Iraqi man of fighting age.

Who exactly do we nuke when al-Qaeda detonates a nuke on our soil?

I find it interesting that Obama is apparently a sufficiently formidable candidate that he inspires both his Democratic rivals and Republican-minded fake heart surgeons and fake professors to act as though his foreign policy will run the country into the ground.

Like it or not, guys, our country's foreign policy has been run so incompetently over the last 6 1/2 years that things can only improve. I am firmly convinced that ANY of the current Republican or Democratic candidates would be better in this respect than President Bush is.

What location in particular would you target with this nuke?

I'm sure Jaskalas can expand on this, but my guess is a village with brown people.

After the nuke drops and the air clears a little, we can send some personnel in to plant some shovels and AK47s to prove their insurgent intentions ;)

I'll quote Jaskalas from the thread that you just linked but ran away from when confronted with some common sense.

"Get back to me when the Muslims start purging their own radicals instead of celebrating and praising them. In fact Jpeyton, get back to us when you stop glorifying them by demeaning us."

So not only can't you come up with your own original reply, you're quoting one from a different thread as well. Nice.

Who exactly are we nuking again?
