That there would be another assault weapons ban like from 1994 was a very, very, very real possibility given Obama's past statements, votes and action (and coming from IL legislature, just about the most anti-gun state in the union) and a super majority in congress. And you're dead wrong, I'm not scared or afraid about gonna come and take them. Recent rulings and state level action have been quite good for gun rights.

But that doesn't mean I don't pay attention to what was a very real possibility and PREPARED for said possibility. There's a difference between paranoia/fear that you paint and preparing for likely outcomes. If I was right, then I got all kinds of pre-ban goodies, could even sell for a damn pretty penny. If I was wrong (and was, I was about damn sure he'd do something) I still got plenty of goodies that will get used. This is what you call a win/win for me.

That you guys view preparing for likely outcomes as "fear and paranoia" is interesting to say the least. Yadda, yadda, I have fire extenguishers, weather radios, generators, yadda, all because of fear, yadda. Oh, and ready.gov says I need a can opener.

I just want to understand what it is like to live in fear every day of your life. Xenophobia, people coming to get your killing machines... Do you take meds to compensate?

I'm guessing that Spidey, like many other law abiding gun owners, doesn't live in fear. Why would he be afraid of anyone with the arsenal that he has amassed? Doesn't seem logical now does it?

I just got a new AR-15 over the weekend. Slept like a baby on Saturday night. Wierd.

Uhmm, basically every post spidey makes is how Obama is a commie-nazi intent on destroying America in the service of his evil racist Kenyan brothers and George Soros. He also believes that no gay people, atheists, or Muslims should ever be allowed to be president. He basically epitomizes living in fear.

Fear? So I guess calling it how you see it is fear. No, I don't think he is affraid of much of anything. Perhaps a zombie invasion but I think he'll be able to stand his ground. Speaking of zombies......

In all honesty it is probably more likely untreated mental illness, but fear is definitely a component of that.

You're mistaking fear for being prepared for whatever life throws at me. Strange way of thinking. I laid it all our in my post a few above. That one cannot understand this line of thinking really says alot about one's view of personal responsibility.

Then again, libtards know no such thing and obviously view it as "fear".

Obama is one step ahead of you; he wants you to think he is trying to take your guns away, when in reality - that is just a distraction. He has been after your white virgin women all along.

I think there is more truth to your statement than you would like to believe. He already put Hillary in her place, and you know old Billy wasn't hitting that.

Umm, he already admitted that he lived in fear. That is why he went on an ammo binge.

So, don't guess. Especially not when it conveniently is guessing what you WISH it to be.

I honestly don't know what Spidey's problem is. Here's a paranoid delusional anti-American fool. Only an idiot would carry a gun for self defense. He needs to take the family out to the fair and enjoy life, its not like he lives in some third world shithole with no police protection like Milwaukee:

BRING YOUR KILLING MACHINES! THEY ARE ALL OUT TO GET YOU!

Yes, not paranoid at all!

I agree with your first two sentences fully, but the next one is utter ignorant horseshit. Then I agree with the rest.

Lived being the key word here. Past tense. You said he lives in fear. Present tense. I was simply pointing out the obvious that his fear, whatever it may have been, is likely gone now.

For him, it is a constant state. That was simply one example of it. Everyone is out to get him... do you regularly read his posts?

Yep, he sounds like a regular Boy Scout on many levels. Most of which, "Be Prepared". But I guess its more fun to look for black helicopters, I see your point now.

Some of us tried to point out that there were far too many Blue Dog Democrats in that majority for weapons bans to stand any chance of passing, but you were having none of it.
