Get a Replublican President, declare war on Iran and then have the entire fucking USA burst into flames. A nuclear strike won't kill the important Americans, they will be hiding in the vaults with their money.

Lets say there was a magic wand that republicans in the house could waive that would either get the economy back on track quickly, or derail it further.... would they waive the wand and fix the economy (thus helping their constituents), or would they derail the economy further to avoid another 4 disastrous obummer years?

I'd genuinely like to see Daniels run. I lived in IN for 2 years and was very impressed by him. Yes, he could overcome much of what the MSM would try to throw at him. Yes, money does put one in the driver's seat; not whining, just stating a fact. But I'm aware that the dems spent a fair bit last year and still got beat. Money will give Obama a big leg up, but is no guarantee if the economy is in the tank. As to the third, go review your history of the 1960 pres election, son. Chicago and sleezey politics go together like beer and pizza.

If a good candidate like mitch daniels runs your first point is invalid. your second point is basic politics-he who has the cash is in the drivers seat. your third point is baseless and frankly ignorant. We hear the bs tired canard of voter fraud and its BASELESS....

Elections with a sitting president come down to ONE thing. Does that president deserve a second term, period.

The chances that the Republicans are going to nominate someone so awful that people would rather have a bad president over the alternative is virtually nil.

You lefties are living in fantasy land dreaming of Palin or Huckabee or Bachman as the GOP nominee. The GOP has a great track record of picking winning candidates (McCain was actually ahead until the banking crisis) and any dreams of Palin or Huckabee are just that, dreams.

Well, fantasy world or not, he's probably right. GOP tends to end up with conservative types, and I don't mean that entirely ideologically speaking. Gun to head, Romney is the likely guy mostly because he says the least insane things. Disagree with him all you want, but he doesn't come off like a raving lunatic. But primaries are funny things as we've seen quite recently so who the hell knows.
