You could be right, I mean about more than all of us being assholes, which goes without saying, I should think. But let me defend myself as best I can and I can do it succinctly just referring to the story of the little boy who cried wolf.

Everyday on this forum, I feel bombarded by right winged outrage at everything under the sun, so if something actually came along to get outraged about, I'm already numb. The sound of the squawking of hundreds of chickens night and day becomes so much white noise. Once folk establish their utter unreliability to deal with reality in an emotionally mature way, you tend to ignore them. And while the accuracy of your criticism of the left, which is undeniable, weighs heavily on my heart, I can't help but feel the left is somewhat superior to the right, especially since many of the criticisms you make of it, even though here you are right, do not, in my opinion, really apply to me. I do not want to force you to live your life in this or that manner. All I want is to tell you how I think you should. I want to have my voice in the market place just like you do. I find your dogmatic and radical rejection of everything left and right just as reflexive and partisan as anything you criticize. You seem to me to be hard like concrete and taken the form of your mold. Also, you seem not to recognize the futility of rage. On the night of Sept. 11, as the Obama administration scrambled to respond to the Benghazi terror attacks, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and a key aide effectively tried to cut the department's own counterterrorism bureau out of the chain of reporting and decision-making, according to a "whistle-blower" witness from that bureau who will soon testify to the charge before Congress.

That witness is Mark I. Thompson, a former Marine and now the deputy coordinator for operations in the agency’s counterterrorism bureau. Sources tell CNN will level the allegation against Clinton during testimony on Wednesday before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, chaired by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif.

CNN has also learned that another official from the counterterrorism bureau -- independently of Thompson -- voiced the same complaint about Clinton and Under Secretary for Management Patrick Kennedy to trusted national security colleagues back in October.

When you say the country is irreparably polarized what you really mean is that it is at your level of understanding. You assume that because you don't know nobody else can or does either. This is an unexamined and unconscious assumption you make that creates your own prison. You have unconsciously closed a book.

So Congress doesn't have the capability to read reports and investigate what they are voting on? Bush wasn't alone in his decision to invade Iraq. He took the proper action of asking Congress for a declaration of war. If you think that Congress was misled by Bush and this was the only way he got that declaration you are a fucking idiot.
