You're absolutely right. We've seen this play before.

I can admit that. It seems that Eskimospy can't.

Lol.

Anyone attempting to divine the viability of a sudden military requirement by checking out the Wikipedia page for Blackhawks is a moron, regardless of political persuasion.

If you bothered to read the rest of this thread you would have seen that earlier I am absolutely open to criticism of Obama for a failure to adequately protect the embassy, etc. The whole business about talking points, etc is a waste of time in my opinion however, and your Monday morning generalship is just embarrassing.

On the one hand we have a bi-partisan commission report that found that Bush did not lie and instead misrepresented opinion as fact. Which I am not downplaying.

On the other hand, we have a report that at a minimum Susan Rice lied, without a clear picture on whether or not it was at Obama's direction.

But yet Bush=bad and Obama=good.

Give me a fucking break. They're the same, only difference is one is white and one is half-white. Which Soundforbjt will tell you means he is all white. Or a white African.

No, you get no break. Like I said, Bush lied, thousands died. Four people died, in Libya.
Bush's war, thousands of Americans died, billions misspent. No they are not the same. Get it?

So it's OK if it's a small lie.

Why can't you get it, the fact that Bush is a bigger liar doesn't excuse Obama.

They're both liars and poor role models.

We're lucky there weren't more of you in the 70s, else Nixon would have finished his term.

No, a moron is someone who is only willing to accept the administration's story as fact and unwilling to consider other options, even when you have the sworn testimony of a man "on the ground" who says there was a team within reach that could have responded and were ordered off their plane.

He says they could make it. Wikipedia backs him up. DoD reports directly to Obama.

Who's the moron again?

All presidents are liars. Morons like you can't handle the truth.
And if there were more of me in the 70's Nixon wouldn't have ever been elected.
Just in case you forgot, Nixon was a Republican criminal. And his vice president, Spiro Agnew was also a criminal and convicted.
Oh, and Bush was the first convicted criminal (drunk driving) elected president.

or Obama is a puppet that just reads his teleprompter?

So Presidents go out and personally gather their own intel? Stop you're embarrassing yourself!!

It was evolving at the time. Office issued the best info they had at the moment. It was later corrected.

And what do those have to do with the fact that at best Obama put Susan Rice on the Sunday news circuit to lie to America?

Do you understand how talking points work with regards to national security? There was a reason why the talking points were changed. Agree or disagree with the talking points, either way it doesn't change the fact that Obama didn't lie nor did rice.

No one cares. Well, I lied, you and a few other right wing nutbags care.
Four people died in Libya. It's a tragedy, but not nearly as tragic as a WAR THAT KILLED FOUR THOUSAND AMERICANS AND COST BILLIONS AND BILLIONS.

Sorry for the shouting, but it's hard to penetrate the skull of a right winger.

That would be you. You're apparently one of those guys who simply ignores contradictory information when you cannot refute it. Your claim has already been addressed at least twice in this thread, including once just a few posts up.

This is no different than Watergate from the point that the Executive branch is covering up the truth for political gain. This should not be allow to happen. If is allowed, how can we ask our people in the foreign service to risk their lives when their government will not do everything possible to protect them?

What difference does it matter at this point Mrs. Clinton? It matters to all real Americans!

Yup... Herpes sucks, but cancer is worse. No comparison. Pick another angle. One being considered "worse" does not make this one any less.. It is different, a different administration, and the public has a right to know where shit went wrong in the chain of command.

I care, and I'm not a right winger. I really don't like (most) Republicans, and I really don't like (most) Democrats. Hell, I don't really like most Libertarians either

GWB and Co started us down the wrong path with Patriot Act, Iraq War, etc.

Our current administration has DOUBLED DOWN on GWB's policies and done even worse: Patriot Act II, NDAA, attempted SOPA/PIPPA, attempted CISPA, expanded rendition, holding suspects without trial, didn't shut down Guantanamo, expanded drone strikes beyond imagination (with 10,000+ dead as "collateral damage"), now attempting to pass the "Marketplace Fairness Act" (i.e. enrich certain payment/tax software companies whose benefit would line the pocketbooks of certain Senators and Congressmen), embraced disastrous foreign policy with regards to the near East and is currently rattling the saber at Syria and cheering on/supplying Islamist rebels. Did I mention supporting Islamist rebels? Those people can't be reasoned with and are the enemy of any free thinking people. Their holy texts literally spend 60% of their verses talking about how to treat inferior non-believers, including raping and killing them as a means of conversion. And we want to HELP them? Assad is terrible, but I fear even more terrible things are to come if we support the rebel forces.

This doesn't even begin to cover the economic policy (read: cronyism). This administration's policies have WORSENED the rich-poor gap. Under Bush, economic inequality was bad, as 65 cents of every dollar of income growth went to the top 1 percent. Under Obama, however, that number is 93 cents out of every dollar. That’s right, under Barack Obama there is more economic inequality than under George W. Bush.
http://www.salon.com/2012/10/27/the_progressive_case_against_obama/

I haven't even listed half the things I object to on civil, humanitarian, and foreign policy grounds. This administration has been an unmitigated disaster for civil liberties, sustainable economic growth (seen how many people just dropped out of the labor market? We're at 1978 labor participation rates!), and transparent government (Fast & Furious, Benghazi are the two highest profile that come to mind).

This is no longer about right or left - it's about cleaning house and getting ALL the corrupt bastards on both "sides" out. Get involved, because the way I see it - George Orwell may as well have been a prophet with the way things are going!

Do you understand the role of Commander and Chief and being responsible as POTUS? You take the job you take the responsibility regardless of how talking points are categorized. Three Americans died that could have been avoided and should have been helped....period.

The Brits figured it out, so did the Red Cross. Oh well, it's election time, I should be going to bed.

Even supposing that Obama/Clinton lied about Benghazi, that's barely a drop in the bucket compared to what happened the last time the Republicans were in office when they lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iran, resulting in the deaths of thousands of Americans, the handicapping of thousands more, and a cost of a couple trillion dollars.

Two wrongs doesn't make a right. This should have very little to do with party affiliations. Someday America will wake up an realize this.

Here is a hint, they are vetted by the intelligence community and are devised not give away important information.

You are completely missing the point. Do you have any idea of how accountability works? This isn't a missed sale or work place HR incident that has gotten out of hand.

The President is responsible for his cabinet and their actions or in this case lack of action. It's at best negligent at it's worst downright deceitful. People died as a result...all during the almighty campaign.

I really don't care about the talking points used, his party affiliation or anything but what actually happened to what were living breathing Americans.

Umm the title of this thread is "Obama lied", he didn't nor did anyone else in his administration. If you want to complain about "would of", "could of", "should of" then I'd suggest creating a new thread.

But to address your point, yes Obama is responsible for everything that happens on his watch but unless you have some new found facts that show anything that could have prevented the deaths was ignored on purpose all you are doing is talking out of your ass.

Do you have information as to exactly what actions lead to people dying? Do you have any evidence of that information being covered up? If you do I'm sure you could call Issa and he would put you on a plane to DC to testify in a second.
