I find it amusing the liberals here are taking their ball and going home when comparing the crazies between the parties. I found the quotes legtimately funny on both sides.

Why so serious?

It's not taking the ball and going home, the results were just so lopsided there wasn't much point in continuing.

I just don't find an equivalence between a politician claiming dubious expertise (something they do daily) and someone saying that the government has been infiltrated by communists and secret Muslims.

I find it utterly crazy for anybody to claim to be an expert on something they arent while going about crafting legislation that applies to 300 million people on that subject.

You're being serious when you say that you think a politician claiming false expertise is the same level of craziness as someone else saying that Jesus won't allow flooding from global warming?

I'm sorry, but I find that awfully, awfully hard to believe.

I thought it was pretty funny as well...up until it devolved into an argument about non-equivalence. I guess I'm just too stupid to get it.

Devolved? It was an argument about equivalence from the beginning... that was literally the entire point.

On a separate note, I happened across this pretty amazing quote from Dick Cheney about the whole thing:

“When we were there, on our watch, we were always ready on 9/11, on the anniversary. We always anticipated they were coming for us, especially in that part of the world. I cannot understand why [Obama's people] weren't ready to go. … a failure of leadership,

That's a pretty amazing quote from the person who got caught with his pants down in the original September 11th attack. Stay classy, Dick.

The original point by GenX was that there were crazies in each party. You're the one who twisted this into a 'your shit stinks worse' contest. I had a couple I was going to share...but I'll pass as I now see how personal this has become for you as well as First.

It really wasn't, and I wasn't even having that conversation with him.

Regardless, I'm sorry that we will all be deprived of your genius. I'm sure whatever you had to contribute was really really good.

Well...I thought they were pretty funny...but somehow I doubt you would appreciate the humor of it all. The simple-minded, such as myself, are apparently much more easily amused than some.

Hmm, you generally seem to be desperately searching for something to be victimized by, but I would love to be wrong! I hope you do find plenty of sources of amusement in life, and I'm sure that you had some really great and amusing things to share too. Maybe someday in the future.

I must say that you have a great flair for condescention...but don't worry, I don't take it personally. You're a good man eskimospy...don't let anybody tell you different.

Obammah ordered people to die so his scheme where he was selling guns to terrorists would not be uncovered while he was running for reelection. He has obstructed justice. It is time to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate this for prosecution.

OBammah Lied -- People Died!

woah there cowboy what guns, what terrorist and who died?

Sweet Lord. Watergate was a concerted effort by a sitting President to warp the whole machinery of government to protect himself from criminal charges, a scandal that would have fundamentally changed our entire system of governance (and thus our entire society) had he succeeded. This was a stupid decision followed by an inept reaction (probably because of the limited options due to the stupid decision) and then a mild political lie. More serious in that four Americans died, certainly, but otherwise even by the most generous assumption of guilt not even vaguely in the same ball park as Watergate. And unless we discover that Obama personally recalled the American security to have non-consensual butt sex with them, it never will.

Biggest revelation of the Benghazi hearings today:

Sure to be trumpeted by Republicans, Hicks’ most explosive revelation centered around an assertion that a four-man special operations team based in Tripoli was allegedly told not to make the flight to Benghazi on the night of the attacks.

Officials from State and the Pentagon countered that the team wouldn’t have arrived in Benghazi in time and that it was instead needed in Tripoli.

So like anyone half intelligent has been saying, nothing particularly controversial. We already knew the admin said they couldn't get to Tripoli in time. Yawn.

You better watch it with all that being rational and reasonable stuff. Keep it up, and you'll have the aptly-named OutHouse accusing you of fellating a political party.

Oh, that doesn't count. Didn't you know? The Bush administration began on 9/12/01. Clinton was responsible for everything before that.

You REALLY don't want to get into racist statements. I can rack those up so fast your head will spin.

Meanwhile in other news Cliff Stearns and many others were/are still birthers.

So it's ok as long as it's your party and the other guys do it more.

Got it.

According to the official time line, the attack started at 942pm. The two seal heroes were killed at 515am.

The straight line distance from Tripoli to Benghazi is 404 miles.

What were they going to fly in, the Wright 1?

So you are sticking with the "scary jet" scenario that some how would have prevented the attack?

It’s ironic you calling other people partisan. Have you ever even had an independent thought?

I was speaking of Republicans in general, Republicans like Darrel Issa trying to smear Obama his entire time in office.
Of course I'm a partisan, seeing all of the damage to the country caused by Republicans.
I'm not in power in Washington, idiots like Darrel Issa are, and they have spent all of their time bashing Obama and Democrats, and haven't accomplished anything of value to America.
This could have been a scandal that did damage to Democrats, but thanks to the Republicans overreach on things like birtherism, the vast majority of the public are tuning out your nonsense, blah blah blah....
The last election was one for Republicans to lose, and they did, I'm still not sure how.

Maybe the rape victim shouldn't have been drunk and alone, and wearing a mini skirt and high heels and walking through the projects at 3 am?

America is going to give a free pass to the Obama adminstrations because of the Republicans overreach on birtherism? LOL, you go on believing that.
