I do smile. I smile when I hear a rapist and/or child abuser goes to prison. I smile when they kill a multiple murderer, etc. etc.

It's just that for you "super smart political guys", who hold the entire nation in your care, I feel that justice should pay you extra special attention when you screw up.

Nothing creepy about that at all.

I have no doubt that you do, but it's definitely creepy.

How does someone get so far gone that they gleefully envision the death of people they don't even know because they wrote something on an internet message board that made them mad? Maybe you should re-evaluate your life.

Obama has been a golden boy his whole life, brought ahead by people in superior positions because he has the background and the looks that make a certain sort of person believe he deserves rewards. He's never had to work, only to be. Now, there are no people in superior positions. He is at the top. There is no one to countermand his ignorance or to hide the consequences. He is as far out of his depth as a person can be.

This is what the Democratic voters voted into office. It was screamed from the rooftops before he was ever elected. The "Empty Suit" comments were not offhand jokes.

Hope and Change.

And Bush's weren't? Talk about elite and privilege...

You probably loved trailer house bubba then right?

Another PR fail... as bad as one of Bush's. You conservatives still think he's an empty suit??

What I don't get is that half the time he's an empty suit who can't do anything, and the other half of the time he's a communist mastermind destroying America.

I mean people are more than welcome to make up hilariously shrill and baseless attacks, but you would hope that there would at least be some consistency to them.

Obama surrounds himself with the best bankers, HC executives and so forth. e.g. "interested men" This is why we have a corptocracy today. He does not have the balls or fortitude to stand up to it or is dependent on it which are two very different things. I'm not sure a president can get elected without billions and okay from the elite.

Nah, my life is just fine. It's not I that is just that far gone. When you step out of the rabid Dem strong holds, and the rapid Rep strongholds, and you get to the regions that border them, and the entirety of the rest of the US, my feelings mirror those of your despised Real 'Murrican.

Don't worry though Mr. "super smart political guy", you're young enough where you ought to 'live in interesting times'. I really hope you get to live in them the fullest, you could say, it brings a smile to my face.... :D

Today really isn't your day.

I lived in the Philadelphia suburbs for 20 years, an area so renowned for its independent, swing voting nature that it's referenced in almost every presidential election as being the key swing district to capture in a key swing state, usually featured on a national news story or two. But by all means tell me more about what real America is like. :)

Better yet, make some more death threats, they don't make you seem mentally unbalanced at all, I promise.

Death threat? So you're also Mr. "super sensationalist" guy too??? I didn't threaten you with death. I just hope you're one of the ones that get it when the "super smart political guy" club you're in is at the helm once it all comes crashing down: What's so wrong with that?

I could care less about where you used to live, only what you are now: And now, you're a self professed "super smart political guy".

Nothing more needs to be said, you've chosen sides: Your ilk, vs. Real 'Murrican's.

And let someone else take charge too. Obama is giving the impression that someone else needs to be the leader. That is not the same as listening to others. He seems lost.

I agree with that completely. I was happy when I thought Obama would be someone who would listen to outside opinions, especially after Bush. I was not happy when I learned he lets people walk all over him and get almost whatever they want.

I know that compromise is part of the job, but at some point you have to make a stand.

How much would they have to pay you at your job to get off unemployment if you were making $450 a week from unemployment checks?

500-600? hell no, not after taxes, gotta be at least 700-800, maybe more. How much is your free time worth? Two of my friends are on unemployment, they're not even looking for jobs, they're just waiting until the unemployment runs out. Why would my friend take a job at a pizza restaurant or other low paying job if he could do nothing and get paid more? I wouldn't.

Someone who is getting $450/wk unemployment is not sitting around on their butts. Someone that has someone paying their bills and is getting $250-300 may be.

That would equate to $900/wk income, 45K/year.
At that income level, you will have start to generate bills that are not going to be met if you are sole income.

More than likely, you have a good $700 living payment or more; $200 utilities $400 food.

Toss in existing bills, you are exceeding 3+ weeks of unemployment and pushing week four.

And that is not including car payments, insurance, social life and medical costs.

If you have a second person within the household that can cover; then sitting around bragging on unemployment is one thing. If you are the only one,it becomes stressful.

Prove that. A friend of mine, who I constantly yell at does just this. Whether you believe it or not, $450/week is plenty for people to live on. He collects his unemployment checks in a lower income area and says plenty of people there are doing that. Sitting around, smoking weed, not doing shit and collecting their unemployment checks. They are friends with the people working at the unemployment place as well so they get all their sh*t approved without even doing what is required of them sometimes. He tells me this and it makes me sick.

I don't understand what the big deal is. Obama had to be somewhere and IIRC this was an impromptu Q&A session.

I agree. Overall Clinton looked really good and was very well spoken. What I do find disturbing, it seems Clinton is more well informed about the issues than Obama is.

This is the first thing I've seen that really makes me think Obama might not run for re-election. It's almost as if he simply can't be bothered to do his job, there's a party or a vacation waiting. I think perhaps he feels that by not falling in line with his agenda, this country has let him down and doesn't deserve his brilliance.

One thing, that old truism to "Lead, follow or get out of the way" is being realized. Obama tried leading with the compromise, which both sides hate. (Democrats hate it more, probably because they were completely made irrelevant, only hearing about the compromise at the presser with the folks out in flyover country - and there's nothing a politician holds closer to his heart than his own importance.) Now Obama's getting out of the way.

Obama will run for re-election, period. He'll also most likely win.
