High numbers mean jack shit. How many people stop to see a wreck on the side of the road, it's morbid curiousity, that's all.
I do feel sorry for people who actually believe this idiot, and like others have said, I bet when the lights go off, the camera stops rolling, he lights up a winston and says, 'fuck, I can't believe people are buying into this shit' and subsequently gets in his limo and goes home.

I used to hope this as well. Then I get a text message from my sister proclaiming that Obama is setting up an SS-like unit within the government to pull the plug on old people. She and her husband believe this is apocalyptic. I asked her where she got this info and she told me that she heard it on Glenn Beck. I pointed her to the bill and the 10 page section that Beck is referring to, but she refused to read it saying that she trusted him.

I went home last weekend to visit the family and fix their wireless issues. I grab my mother's laptop to do some Googling, hit 'g,' and Glenn Beck's website is first in their index. I was going to mention something but my mother was busy talking to my sister about some new foot bath they enjoy that can apparently tell you what ails you based on the color the bath water turns. When I say something about how that isn't even logical and that they are just being separated from their money, I am told that it makes sense that toxins would exit your foot and change the color of the water. My sister is in nursing school. I then realize that people simply can't reason. In school, we are taught to memorize, not reason. And now that's paying dividends. There would be no point in my saying anything about Glenn Beck because people don't want to think for themselves. They want to be told what to think and then they can memorize it.

My new father-in-law wants me to read Glenn Beck's Common Sense, inspired by Thomas Paine (as apparently this statement provides legitimacy). Do you think he's read Thomas Paine? There's nothing inspired about this, it's just pathetic.

yeah, always place the tag as a looney...just like Einstein and many others. If most of you momos cannot see that Barrack Obama is nothing more than a politician, then you are being duped. I am not certain how much more you need? All economic pundits with common sense see the futility in the huge amount of money being spent.

go ahead and bury your pointed head in the sand and point the finger at a particular party or head of party....it is not the party, it is the system and laziness of the constituents of this country to do anything about it. give idiots beer, cigarettes, cable tv and the internet and they are happy...not being mindful of the future or the fragile position they and their country are in. little aware are they in regard to losing those smokes, beer, and cable tv.

you guys really need to get more fundamental in your assessments and your approaches.

it is simple.

The Haves want more, so they beat down the have nots. In a system of wealth and power that are related, getting the upper hand is much more difficult. Until pitchforks are grabbed and protests are made on a larger scale, the Haves will continue to groom politicians, make favorable laws and destroy LONG Term success and the ability for the Have nots to achieve it. Our government is a bloated pig that is out of control..completely out of control with checks and balances thrown out the window.

However, when our country stops aggrandizing movie stars, professional athletes and Perez Hilton, then the outlook may start to look a little brighter. The relentless pursuit of bling will end up in chaos and doom. You do not need a fucking PhD to figure that out. So, social programs get cut, those in need suffer more, the Haves build their third home in the Cayman Islands, more money is spent on a wrapper than the food in it. Live for today, will turn tomorrow into darkness. Now, label me as a quack, and be sure watch your John and Kate episodes.

I get the impression you're delusional for getting that impression.

That's why Chuck Grassley was handing out Beck books.

Sorry, the left has enough wackos, you can't pin the right wing wackos on us too.

I would like to see these poo-flingings that Beck is making at the walls of his padded cell, to see which Fantasy Alphabet it most resembles.

I hope it doesn't resemble Daedric. I quite enjoy The Elder Scrolls. :(

Their first urge is not to analyze substance, but resort to attacks. I can see why you'd say this, even in jest, because all that comes out of the left towards people who try to educate americans of our history is pure noise and hatred. Democrats are generally not interested in truth if it interferes with their bottom line. They'll use any means necessary, lies, cheating, and stealing to push their agenda. That's the nature of the people conservatives are dealing with at the top of the democrat party.

You dont hear Obama say anything positive of the US healthcare system. Truth in his message would undermine his agenda. It angers me so much the last few months but it's nice to see i'm not alone.

Republicans are just innocent people that would never lie or cheat to push their agenda....lol

Both parties are fucked and far from home.

Beck just did a show about how the national foundation for the arts is pushing the Obama agenda. He did have phone recordings to back it up and it was clear that they are indeed trying to get artist to make art that shares the views of the administration, which shouldn't be legal since the arts foundation isn't suppose to push any agenda. All good points, but Beck has ruined his reputation so when he does have a good point it is lost in all the noise.

Yes...

Well I know he's a loon, but he's not an elected official so I can change the channel if I feel like. The loons who are elected officials on the other hand are offer similar 'facts' but cannot be removed by changing the channel or any other method.

OMG what a freakin nutcase. And this is who the Townhall Loons are listening to when they are going on about Obama's Final Solution for the nations seniors. lol
When ever I worry about the Dems losing it, I can count on the R opening their mouths and re-affirm why they are a lost cause.

You could make a credible case that it has always been so. Hell, in the original drafting of the Constitution the president was elected by a slate of elite electors from each state, and the senate was also elected by the elite state assemblies... leaving exactly one of the 3 elected bodies in government to be responsive to the interests of the people.

PS: Glenn Beck is an insane moron.
