Obama has this 100% right. What the DA did to those Duke kids was absolutely a crime, he should be investigated, disbarred, put on trial, and incarcerated.

No, I think lots of innocent men should go to jail for having sex with women because the publicity will cut down on rape. And having half the male population in jail certainly will.

He took the time to write that to a constituent in a letter. Why? He has absolutely nothing to do with the case, nor does his constituent (who is in Illinois, not NC), nor should the US senate. I'm sick and tired of our politicians spending all of their time on this politically-motivated BS instead of doing their jobs.

Nifong had opponents in the Democratic primary and then in the general election and he won both times. I voted for his opponent in both elections, so I did my part to get rid of this idiot. Now for the morons who voted for him.........

so what was the point in voting in that election anyway? Nifong's opponent announced that they wouldn't even take the position if elected, thus giving it to Nifong despite the voting outcome.
