WTF?

Fern

Agreed, wtf ?!

That's disturbing. Any time he doesn't get his way through congress he decides to just go ahead and do it by executive action. I'm pretty sure that's not how things are supposed to work.

Three of the breaks were created through administrative actions or regulation, which means President Barack Obama could use executive powers to void them. The other three could be closed through regulatory powers delegated to the Treasury Department, Mr. Sanders said.
Several of the tax proposals have already been proposed in Mr. Obama’s budgets. The administration would curb one such break that allows multinationals to avoid taxation of profits by using offshore subsidiaries and another to curb “equity stripping.”
Mr. Sanders says Mr. Obama should go ahead and end the practice administratively.
He also proposes similar action on a practice known as “earnings stripping,” by which a U.S. company acquires a foreign company, relocates overseas, and then deducts interest payments on large debts borrowed by the foreign subsidiary.
Mr. Sanders recommended the administration prevent certain businesses, such as billboard companies and private prisons, from structuring themselves as real-estate investment trusts, a corporate structure that invests heavily in real estate and doesn’t have to pay certain taxes.
A White House spokeswoman said they had received the letter and would respond directly to Mr. Sanders.

In other words, a former administration used the IRS' rule making powers to grant enormous tax breaks to corporate buddies and Senator Sanders would like the IRS to knock it off.

Apparently we are turning more and more of a dictatorship. It seems like the power of the presidency has no limit according to our dictator in chief. Now Obama wants to raise taxes on people he doesn't like.

Before I read the OP, I'm going to guess it's completely bullshit and/or a mountain out of a molehill.

How do you guys keep falling for this same bullshit? Don't you get tired of being duped?

Maybe you just enjoy that feeling of outrage, even if it's based on nothing.

Been waiting all day for him to start a thread about Obama threatening to shoot down Israeli aircraft if they attacked Iran.

I am disappoint. :(

And the usual crowd is duped or at least severely confused by the right wing rage machine.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you all are good with using executive orders to create tax loopholes but not with using executive orders to close those loopholes.

BTW I loved on that site the OP linked to the ad that told me the secret to health was on page 859 of the bible. How freaking gullible are the people who visit that site?

If Obama was really worried about the middle class he would stop the flood of cheap illegal workers into this nation and remove those who have already invaded. You remove millions of illegals from the work force and corporations and businesses would have to compete against each other for American workers. Then you would be able to lower taxes as you are not forced to subsidies so many millions of people with low paying jobs with EBT cards and other programs.

The author is an obvious alarmist shill. Here's his linked piece about how much Obama's amnesty will cost us- it's a doozie-

He dances on the head of a rhetorical pin with the whole SS vs general revenue Schtick. SS is entering a phase where it will be supplemented from the general fund as intended, so the more money it takes in the less subsidy will be required. Duh!
