Righttt. . .kind of like OJ has been hunting for Nicole's killer all these years. He has been an emtpy suit in the Senate.

Why do people keep up bringing OJ in Obama threads...

Classic and on que. The moment someone criticizes Hussein Obama they are immediately labeled a racist. Way to play that card. I imagine it will only get worse as the campaign season wears on.

Uh, I think it's the way you're doing it, chief. Criticize him all you want, but the way you repeatedly focus on his middle name and his skin color makes it seems like your dislike of him is strongly based on his race.
I reread my posts, and I can't find any reference to skin color. And his middle name is what it is. Using it is racist? Sorry, but calling me out as a racist based on what I wrote above is just what I said: playing the race card. I have no doubt that every time and any time Obama receives critcism or is questioned about anything, the media and his fanboys are going to cry out "Racist!"

Well that's obviously false.

And yes, despite the fact that you are factually accurate that his middle name is Hussein doesn't mean that you aren't trying to race/religion bait by so prominently using it. You know what you're doing, and you're doing it precisely so you can hide behind a 'who, me?' defense when you're called on it.

Comparing him to Barack Obama to OJ, a murdering exfootball player when the only thing that they have in common is skin color is NOT CRITICISM. It's racism.

No one called anyone a racist before you showed your stupid racist head in here and compared Barack Obama to a MURDERER.

Here we go, just to be simple for you.
Queasy, the OP who criticized BO on policy grounds? Not racist.
Carbo, the guy who compared BO to OJ? Racist.

There ya go.

OJ Simpson is not a murderer. He was acquitted. You calling him a murderer, despite his acquittal, smacks of racism. I mean, after all, any African American on trial for murder is guilty. Right??

Go back to your cave, troll. It is not racist to believe OJ killed his wife.

He is a murderer who was acquitted. Many innocent African Americans are convicted.

But it's not encouraging that my post on missile defense as offensive weapon got no answer.

I don't know if we can per say chalk it off to racism. But there is something dehumanizing not to be called by your given name. In war we called Germans Jerries, we had a pile of uncomplimentary names for Vietnamese, don't get me started reciting all the various names
Muslims have been called, and the moderators on this forum have had the good sense to ban many of them. But if any major candidate in the 08 primaries was tarred with unpleasant names, IMHO, it had to be Hillary Clinton. We had many using Swillery, Billary,
and the Hildabeast to mention a few.

But if we can get the clue that the poster is not happy with a given person if they call John McCain McSame or McLame, at least it was somewhat clever play on words the first few times, and by now, its gotten to the point its no longer clever, original, and now lets face the facts, its become totally unoriginal.

But in terms of Barak Obama, its far harder to give equal time to equivalent McSame users. Its not that the name Obama is totally lacking in dehumanizing name opportunity, its a matter that the dehumanizing names often used are so polarizing and inaccurate. And posters seeking to dehumanize Obama often get tempted to either compare Obama to the first name of Ossama Bin Laden or to equate the middle name of Hussein with Saddam Hussein.

As it is, both McCain and Obama are already in hot water, not for their own Christian religious views, but over the Christian hate speech of their supporters. And we all hope that our next President will be able to reach out and talk to friend and foe alike, and be a uniter and not a divider.

Calling BO by his middle name is a lot less bad than using an OJ analogy with BO. That is just out and out racism.

It's always nice to see a thread in which the self-professed "small government" conservatives reveal themselves for the big government blow-your-taxdollars-on-their-pet-projects SOCIALISTS that they are.

Look at them whine and cry and spread partisan lies over a possible cut in government spending.

Sure I hope our next prez can be more cordial with our allies and work better with them. But I want him to be tough as nails with our enemies. I don't want a prez "talking" with our enemies unless there's something in it for us. That's right, you heard correctly...unless there's something in it for us. The Prez works for us and I expect him to put American interests first.

Why is it so important for so many of you that the most powerful man on Earth grant a forum to some of the worst despots on the planet??

You should be very happy with Obama then, that's pretty much exactly his position.

Article 1 Section, 8.

(Without even looking it up) It specifically says provide for the common defense AND general welfare in the first sentence, making my analogy apt, and your point here moot (whatever it might have been).

It's a waste of money, they're building defense systems for a nonexistent enemy, and it escalates tensions between the larger nations. That's probably exactly what they want, too, some new conflict.

Haha, not on the worst day of my life my friend...

McCain FTW

You're right, McCain for the W - as in George W. Bush's third term.

I'm sure you are utterly disinterested in any corrections to your misguided views.

I believe my point would be what they refer to as "scoreboarding".

Besides, the preamble also includes the word blessings, so I guess that would prove the so called separation of church and state doesn't go as far as some would like to believe.

When that rogue missle comes crashing into a city near you. These same people who complain about the missile system will be the first to complain why we didnt have a program to stop such an event. Is it likely to happen? I have no idea, and it may be small.
But we have been funding programs that give us a leg up for decades. One of the reasons we can topple regimes with the largest armies in weeks where it used to take years. And with very low loss of life.

But remember some of these systems do more than protect the continental United States from missile borne attacks. Many of these systems will also protect fleets and armies in the field. With the spread of nuclear weapons it would be nice for systems to be able to knock out incomming tactical weapons on our formations or fleets. I just dont understand the complaining about a system that protects us and our military.

Would people complain about refining armor for our battle tanks?

And this is just typical of a democrat btw. First thing he looks at is the military. If he was serious about cutting spending. He would also look at the layers of govt we have and federal subsidies like corn ethanol. Oh wait, he just said he would have voted for that boondoggle farm bill congress just overode big spender bush.

I think so if said "refining" meant protecting our battle tanks against photon torpedos, pulse energy weapons, light sabers, or phasers

Is Iran working on photon torpedos too?!

No, but they are working on missile systems which is what our missile systems are being designed to combat. Your analogy fails big time.
