Replace Granholm with Bush and ask yourself if you would give the same answer.
After 8 years as President Bush would have a lot to offer from his experience as would members of his Cabinet. His advice on how to handle certain situations such as Foreign Policy wouldn't be heeded as it's generally agreed upon that they were a complete failure but there are other things he could be useful for as far as information goes.

I'm not talking about "information" I'm talking about "advice" like you said about Granholm. Would you be comfortable with Obama listening to advice from Bush?

Would I be comfortable with Obama consulting Bush about certain situations or issues that he has first hand knowledge with? Sure, in fact he just spent a few hours with W last week discussing the transition and such and I along with others were perfectly comfortable with it.

No you didnt answer my question. You said you would were comforable with Bush "meeting" with Obama a few days ago, but who WOULDNT be? Bush has been president for the past 8 years.

You didnt say anything about his listening to his advice like you did with Granholm.

The stupid little games you play in this forum are very tiresome and childish yet you seem to revel in them. While I'm not privy to what he discussed with Bush I'm sure W gave him advice, even if it was how to deal with the rigors of living in the Fish Bowl called the White House. Further more I'd think as part of the vetting process of William Gates as the potential nominee for the Sec of Defense in his Cabinet he probably asked Bush or Bushes underlings about him which is asking for advice.

Regarding Granholm, she has first hand experience dealing with the Big 3 being the Governor of Michigan, it makes perfect sense to me that'd he'd want to hear of her experience dealing with them from her perspective as the Governor. Seems very pragmatic to me and Obama seems to be a very pragmatic individual which I believe is a positive virtue when picking a man to lead.

I'm not playing any "stupid litle games". I DO enjoy calling out other peoples' BS when I see it. You just seem to do it more ofthern than others.

My whole point was that Obama taking advice from Granholm on the auto industry is like Obama taking advice from Bush on foreign policy.

You two are having an unbelievably petty feud about basically nothing. Bush probably tried to give advice during their meetings and it's likely Obama will consider it and go his own way. The analogy that is closer to the Granholm situation would be whether or not Obama would invite or discuss with the current executive of a country (state in Granholm's case) for an issue that directly relates with and effects that country (state).

Who's to say he'll be taking advice from her. He might be asking her about the dynamos of the Community regarding it's relationship with the Auto Industry, her dealings with the CEO's or the UAW and many other things that would be pertinent when it comes to understanding and trying to come up with a solution which I must say would be a refreshing change from the way things were done in the previous Administration.

Speaking with Granholm, Engler, Blanchard, or Milliken for that matter regarding dealings with the Big Three is a no brainer. Those stuck on stupid partisan politics are the Ray Bolgers of the new Oz.
