The real problem is that you think 1950s America wasn't as bad as Nazi Germany.
Dont be ignorant.
Are you saying that I'm ignorant of the "fact" that blacks are, unlike Jews, deserving of being treated like animals, ghettoized, terrorized, and executed? Oppressing one group of people is as bad as oppressing any other. Boo hoo, I'm politically incorrect!!!
I am saying you are ignorant if you think 1950's America was as bad or worse than Nazi Germany. 1950's America had serious race issues. But it was nowhere near what happend under the Nazi's.
If you were a black man being beaten you'd say it was just as bad.
Serious race issues? Give me a break, I'm sick of that politically correct gobbledygook. Southern whites were committing crimes against humanity daily, whether by burning churches and beating blacks, or by standing by and doing nothing.
The only thing missing was large scale genocide, but remember that didn't come until later in Nazi Germany.
Is that it? Have you read history at all?
What happened in this country was terrible, an abomination, no getting around that. But Nazi Germany it wasnt.
1865-1960: African-Americans went from slavery to harsh racism and an unforgiving and brutal judicial system. But, to you, it was never as bad as Nazism, correct? You wouldn't know shit about either one. I think it's better to as a black person and a Jewish person who lived in both time periods. I doubt you would understand their fears, terrorism, and racism faced by each group.
To be honest, the main difference between the two was the time period, which is why the Nazi system failed to endour. If they were smart and had not been so aggressive in their policies and dreams their reich may have lasted over a hundred years, instead of being concentrated in 12. You also fail to remember that this endemic racism was all across the Western-world.
Was it as bad? It depends on who you ask. As a non-Jewish non-homosexual German living at the time if their life was bad and they would probably say no.
