Overall he's a fairly left leaning candidate. Politically he's sounds like a typical liberal democrat. But he has a stage presence like I haven't seen in a candidate in a LONG time. When he talks, you can't help but like him. In that regard he's the Anti-Hill. Hill sounds like a dying cat on stage and there's very little about her that draws people in. She's as warm as a fudge-cicle.

People have been saying that Obama is too young or is lacking in experience. I don't think that will matter much when they're both standing side by side on stage. In a debate, Barak will mop the floor with Hill on likeability points alone. As for the experience card... It's not like Hill has the market cornered on experience. She was first lady and has one term in the senate under her belt. Not exactly a huge advantage when you think about it.

If Barak runs, I think he has a great chance.

Bahahahahaha got Rush to have a Canary on this today.

He was like where does this guy get this stuff?

I think he's just jealous because I have a better shot than him
I don't understand... You called Rush? And he had a CORONARY? What did you say?
So are you the mystery caller who goes to great lengths to hide your identity and get past his screeners?

No one gets "past" the screeners. They are Producers not "screeners".

They dictate who gets on and who doesn't.

I have my own problems with her - such as her supportive comments regarding the recent torture bill, but that's not why her haters oppose her.

I'm not a big fan of Obama yet either. I want another FDR: when the republicans break things, there's a chance for someone who will do a lot of good. We don't want a half-ass democrat, we want someone who will prevent the next Bush the way that FDR moved the country away from the far right.

The fact that she's a pro-big business authoritarian socialist is NOT a rational reason?

I like Obama. He's actually intelligent and good-hearted for a populist. But the fact is the country is not ready for this kind of ticket, and elitism like yours will only make people resentful and harden public opinion against it.

The Dems don't have an FDR and, if they did, I guarantee that you wouldn't like him.

So... Ok. Fine. Explain your comment. Inquiring minds want to know.

Answer the question, if you are who I think you are, then kudos to you.

We need a real candidate.

name a real candidate?

Russ Feingold is my man, though he may not run.

Joe Biden is too much of a clown.

Hillary - has too much baggage obviously.

Obama - too young, very inexperienced. Also, he has a strange name, which may seem petty to some, but these things matter in elections. Nixon lost to JFK because he was sweating like a pig on TV.

McCain - I used to like him a lot, but he has sold out too many times in the last few years.

John Edwards - meh, he was an ambulance chaser, I don't really trust him.

Rest assured, Dave will never answer that question. His next step in this thread will be one of the following: (1) ignore it and leave the thread, (2) troll (possibly by quoting a news article), or (3) distract with some outrageous comment.

Obama will not win for one reason - his name.

And on the issues, I would never, ever, ever vote for him.

I think Obama would be like Carter; best intentions in the world, but out of his league in the big chair. He needs to serve as ambassador to some tough place like Sudan or Syria for the international experience before taking a shot at the WH.

Hillary is still a fake Dem.

What the country needs most I think, is a Congress that can fix the current domestic mess we have, and a President that can do well in the international arena. Our current status in international policies and politics is nothing short of a disaster.

Trouble is, I don't know offhand who might be the miracale worker we need.

Agreed. Honestly, I don't think anyone knows who that miracle worker we need is, and that's the biggest problem facing this country at this time. We are leaderless and bitterly divided.

Did you guys not listen?

He went berzerk on Obama.

He was like why would they be so interested in this guy when they already have a viable candidate in Hillary?

I loved the part give him time (to get an intern under his desk)

You guys know that Obama has admitted to using both pot and cocaine?

That means all of you complaining about Bush's drug use can't vote for him, unless you are hypocrites.

BTW: He'll lose out on issues long before anyone even thinks about his drug usage.

Actually, it's boring. He's as predictable as a metronome.
