Every minute detail regarding Bush was magnified and demonized. It's curious how the Left reacts when Obama is treated in 'like kind' and are so totally bewildered by it. Reminds me of a Star Trek episode where they came across a race of people who intensely hated each other and were in a state of perpetual war...one race was 1/2 white and 1/2 black and the other race was 1/2 black and 1/2 white. People are 'interesting' to say the least....where's James T. Kirk when you need him!

I call bullshit on all of this. Yes, there will always be criticism, but I remember most Americans rallying around Bush post-9/11 when he had a shot to unify the country toward a common goal. He blew that opportunity with Iraq, the Patriot Act and many other missteps.

Contrast that with Obama, people have been shitting on him before he even entered office. After a few weeks he was already a failure, compared to Carter, etc.

No, the treatment is not the same. There's clearly some underlying hate toward Obama, fueled no doubt by the Rovian tactics before he entered office. Bush's criticisms were largely due to his performance, not because of some bs about what people *thought* he was (Marxist, Socialist, Terrorist, Arab, Muslim, etc. etc.).

But if that makes the right feel better, fine. I think many of the comments about Bush were equally histrionic back in the day, and to me there's no excuse for any of it. It's like a bunch of screaming children trying to out-yell the other guy.

I agree with poofjohn, Obama's first year in office is total *FAIL*! Spent it being too conciliatory, should have invited the repugs to a meeting on the top floor of a highrise and did some defenestration. Nice guys like Obama are fail, need to elect another boob to office.

Pointing out that 'fail' would be appreciated.
Exhibit A: Everything Obama and his worthless Congress have done to this point... EVERY-FUCKING-THING.

I voted for the man once, but I will never do so again. The man is a total and complete failure.

More proof that the concept of nuance completely escapes the conservative mind. Don't bother trying to explain the differences, it's like explaining colors to a blind person.

Yeah, Bush didnt have anybody dumping on him before entering office

I am curious and will ask you the same question. Where does Obama deciding he can execute american citizens without due process fit into your viewpoint? Is that on the "thought" or "performance" side?

and bush was being derided by the left as an idiot long before he got in office...

it's all the same old shit... the only difference is what your political filter is...

I remember when 'dissent' was called the highest form of patriotism...now-a-days they call it sedition. Funny how that works.

Sure it's hypocritical, just as it was when the Bush administration and the Right called the Dem's and the anti-war folk everything from "unpatriotic," to "terrorist sympathizers."

That's what being a Republican or Democrat is all about. Being a hypocrite.

So what's being a Paulbot/libertarian all about then, being a daft kook?

The left started this with their hatred and constant Bush bashing. So I say this with great pride and patriotism.

FUCK BARRACK HUSSEIN OBAMA. FUCK THAT BASTARD. FBHO.

Quoted for inevitable secret service investigation.

^ nice straw man pointing out the most absurd and off the wall accusations and pretending that everything else Obama is doing doesn't exist or isn't questionable.

So what is Obama doing that is at the same level as lying about invading a country, kill 100k+ people, torture, and illegal wiretapping?

Do tell.

Funny, Obama is continuing those bush policies. It's in those areas where he's doing exactly as his predecessor did.

In that case, why do you still hate him? You loved Bush, so you must love Obama?

Don't ever do that again. You never ever show a raging fool he's a fool when he is at the zenith of his impotent rage. He will turn on you in a split second and shit an ass load in your face.

Wait until he is calm and carefully show him somebody else doing that whom he is OK with in criticizing.

LOL, wut ???

You cannot cite a specific instance, or three, where you claim President Obama has failed?

I say the Fail is You.
