I suggest you learn what the term "Strawman Argument" means before trying to use it.

It makes you look like a fool.

Maybe the government should start taxing their own healthcare policies and then be forced to return those funds to the people via a rebate? Watch these gold-plated insurance plans dry-up as they try to scramble and keep their $$$ without raising taxes.

Not much respect for government workers (or most unions for that matter) here.

The problem is, and those in power know this....people will fuck everyone just to make their lives a little better.

This is what the health care reform is about. Those in power are learning the poor are voting now. They are fucking the middle class by presenting things to the lower that they can just take.

The "getting something for nothing" ideals are what is killing our country. No one wants to work in reality it seems and those that do work do so as little as possible.

The health care bill is mostly a revenue bill. They throw some people a few bones but the bottom line is its real intent is to generate revenue. Like most other government revenue, it is very unlikely that it will get spent where they say it will.

They are gonna need it too, with bond rates starting to float up our national interest payments on the debt are about to explode. It could potentially go well over half of revenue in a very short time period (as in almost immediately after the rate goes up). When 2/3 of your budget is going to paying only the interest on your debt, your lenders tend to think it is riskier to loan you money, causing your rates to increase even further.

We can not currently live off of revenue and without significant changes in just about the entire budget, that are politically impossible, we won't be able to.

The bottom line is, unless we can keep our bond rates historically low for a very long time while we basically do everything possible that should drive them up (such as continuing to borrow record or near record amounts of money) no one will be getting these subsidies for long. Doesn't really matter whose fault it is and no we simply can't raise taxes high enough to cover all of our obligations and no we won't print our way out of it because our entitlements are indexed to inflation (inflating away 10trillion in debt increases entitlement obligations by 100 trillion). We be fucked.

Why would I leave? Unlike you I love this country and want to see it succeed and prosper. Only idiots like you wish ill on the nation and want to see everyone dragged down to your level of misery.

The simple fact is that you are a fucking loser with a capital L. You have fucked up your life due to your actions and inexhaustible stupidity but refuse to accept any responsibility for it. I wish I could say I was sorry or had some empathy for you, but I don't. I laugh at how pathetic you are and hope you live a long and miserable life that causes you pain and suffering for every minute of it. That is exactly what you deserve and if there is any justice in this universe that is exactly what you will get.

Of course the "Free" to you and the rest of the dead weight single payer system sounds best, there's lots of other peoples money to spend still. The loony left and their class war against people that are productive is going to turn this country into a shithole, but hey, that's your plan anyway.

I've got news for you...to alot of us, this country is a shithole now, and alot of it is due to people who just keep taking because they can never have enough. Apparently your definition of "productive" is whoever makes the most money. Under that definition, guys like Ken Lay or Bernie Madoff who make more than the guy who delivers my newspaper would be entitled to better health care. Unlike some, I would never think that I was better than someone else, or had more of a right to care merely because I was wealthier...nor do I want to live in a society where that is the normal standard. Everyone has a right to a healthy life, and it shouldn't depend on how much money you can accumulate. It's the loony right that will wreck this country, not the left.

Dave hates America very, very much. That much is very clear. His envy of the success of others is evident in everything he posts because he can't succeed at anything in life.

He seems to get away with a lot of troll posts and general hate towards others he doesn't like or views he doesn't agree with.

Please feel free to explain how rich people make your life bad, and make the country a shithole. Apparently you are assuming, and wrongly. Being productive doesn't have anything to do with the amount of wealth you generate, only that you are working to support yourself/family. Sure, you have a right to live a health life, what you don't have is the right to take someone else's labor to provide it for you.

Your concern for the people who can afford "gold plated" insurance plans is duly noted.

Here we have an example of Ignornoramous extremus. There is an unusual symbiotic relationship between it and the related species Ignornamous congressionium var. democraticus.

Extremus hates many things, but the most recent behavior is the paradoxical claimed support for health care on one hand, and the hatred of those who work to have it.

Note it's characteristic reflexive behavior captured in it's territorial cry above. Note how it mimics human speech, and at times one would almost believe it's sentient, but upon reflection that's seen not to be the case.

In the example I cite, it puffs out it's internet appendages, clearly mocking- a part of it's natural defenses.

In truth, it has been found (NPR did a report on "Cadillac Plans") that a great many people work extra and drastically economize in order to afford better coverage. The purpose is to prevent complete financial catastrophe by having copays and deductables for treatments that would far exceed the cost of the premium plan. Extremus cannot understand this, and that is in part of a blindness associated with the symbiotic relationship with democraticus. For it's part democraticus is an organism who's overriding concern is survival. For that reason, it imitates an endangered or perhaps extinct species, Representivus nobilis.

democraticus claims exist to benefit the people. In this case it enacted plans which can be demonstrated to be harmful to the general working population who have health care and must utilize it, but claim it's to their benefit. An example would be the "Gold Plated" tax which does not take into account the financial or health status. The richer people who have these plans are generally unharmed by this, but having one of these plans doesn't mean wealth, as demonstrated above. Another would be people who save as much as they can and use FSAs to buffer the high costs of their treatment. The ecological niche democraticus has carved out (similar to var republicus) is stable only as long as the droppings it produces are consumed by creatures like extremus. The droppings enable the latter to completely downplay harmful aspects of democraticus venom.

This bizarre relationship is more easily understood when one realizes that extremus contracts Moonbeam Syndrome. It's is not known if MS causes extremus to emerge from dormancy or not, however for those not familiar with MS or "Mirror disease", the creature in question contracts a bad case of self hate. That causes the creature to turn it's loathing of self outwards. This expresses itself in strange ways at times. In the case of this specimen it hates Healthcarious providerous and a base source of health care nutrients, Private Insurance. PI and HP are anathema to this species of vermin and consequently it seeks out democraticus for sustenance and validation while protecting the host from criticism. Indeed, it will go so far as to say that fatalities causes by democraticus are inconsequential, while complaining that the PI and HP are harmful. Of course this makes no sense, because if other fauna are harmed, then they are harmed.

Extremus is a herd animal, and seeks others on the host and link up to provide a defensive armor for democraticus.

Internet taxonomy is a relatively new field and fraught with difficulties analogous to the early days of classification of real world flora and fauna.

For example it has been suggested that this particular variety of extremus is in fact identical to Partisian hackerii. The problem is that members of the Internet fauna are mimics and display a broad overlap of phenotype.

It's hoped that these lower forms of I-life can be properly categorized in order to halt such things as the Black Plague of Ignorance, however that day is sadly not in our immediate future.

Thank you for your attention.

Well Obama and them Dems decided to jam it to working families with the new healthcare legislation. Not only is the deduction floor going from 7.5% to 10%, starting in 2011 a ban on using funds from flexible spending accounts, health reimbursement arrangements or health savings accounts for the cost of over-the-counter medications.

http://finance.yahoo.com/family-hom...orm-tax-hikes-on-the-way?mod=insurance-health

Oh and you employee seniors and provide drug coverage? No more deduction for you!!!

Oh and that FSA you like to use...you are getting cut from 3500 to 2500....

This "reform" is an F-ING Joke....

Read the health care plan. I can sum it up in 8 words. "Take from the rich, give to the poor." Upon reading and comprehending what the bill does, it makes it obvious why Fox news is against it. What is even more amazing is that Fox News has brainwashed so many poor people into thinking rich people should be even richer.

Will you tell me why people who aren't rich and work extra to afford premium coverage for expensive chronic conditions is thinking "rich people should be even richer"?

How have the rich made my life hard? Well, if by "my" you mean the average working class guy, that could be the makings of a long book. How about, outsourcing our jobs, dismantling our industries, suppressing our unions, corrupting our political system, ransacking our banking system, and now, turning our health care over to the insurance business and making it an ever-increasing spiral of rising costs? Unless you are arguing that it is the poor who have done all that....? Why don't I have the right to health care paid for by everybody? We drive on roads paid for by everybody, rely on police and fire services paid for by everybody, send our kids to schools paid for by everybody... (well, at least some of us do)...why are we the only developed country in the world that has this monstrosity of private insurance controlled health care that leaves a fifth of the population basically out, bankrupts another fifth sometime in their lives, and costs twice as much as the next highest country?
