The Obama administration this month awarded a $25 million federal contract for work in Afghanistan to a company owned by a prominent Democratic campaign contributor without entertaining competitive bids, Fox News has learned

Despite President Obama's long history of criticizing the Bush administration for "sweetheart deals" with favored contractors, the Obama administration this month awarded a $25 million federal contract for work in Afghanistan to a company owned by a Democratic campaign contributor without entertaining competitive bids, Fox News has learned.

Doesn't matter, even if they aren't as corrupt and evil as Haliburton it's still wrong.
No, it's not wrong, because it's Obama. There is no way he's a cock-stuff lobby bitch like the rest of those in government no way no how.

I wonder if the biggest joke of his presidency will end up being the Nobel Peace Prize. People didn't like Gore's but he at least did something for his whereas Obama's was more or less on credit.

They have a habit of spinning the story, much like their counterparts at MSNBC. Does AP or some other credible source have a link on this?

Not James Rosen who wrote the article. He is very good.

So because he's a Dem he's allowed to pull the same bullshit as the Republicans and we are suppose to be OK with it? The people elected him because we were sick and tired of the corrupt Republicans, if this story is true and confirmed by a reliable source it shows the Dems are as bad or close to being as bad.

If that's true they are as bad as the Republicans. Do you have a reliable source to confirm this?

Links to the contract award are at the bottom of the article.

BTW, FOX News is not about political commentary, it is a straight news operation. The opinion shows like Hannity, etc., are, and the opinions presented depend on the individual commentator.

I watch all of the news channels, kind of channel hopping in the background, and the FOX commentary shows do a much, much better job of bringing in contrasting commentary than their competitors. Which is likely why they have dominance - viewers are exposed to all sides of any issue, not just one.

I thought it was a big story until I saw the amount. Sorry, it may be wrong but it's chump change compared to Blackwater, HaliCheney, etc which were and often still are excused and/or justified by the right. Carry on with the faux outrage and straw man building.

You'd think that since they say what you want to hear.

Anyways thanks for the link.

Robor, why does the amount matter? That's like saying "Well he only killed 2 people, that last dude killed 100 people so we should just let the other dude slide cause 100 is way worse than 2"
