This entire thread suffers from a common delusion. Eric Holder, Obama's choice for AG is newly sworn in and has yet to really get his hands on the reins of power. And before Holder can do much of anything, he must appoint his own team. And once he has his top people in place, it will take quite a few weeks for them to realign the people who get things done and set the day to day agenda of the Justice Department.
Right now, all this thread is doing is complaining about the policies still set by the remnants of the Gonzales and Mukasey Justice Department running on auto pilot.
And given the sensitivity over the illegal and blatantly criminal policies allowed to flourish by Gonzales, its probably best if Holder really does the research on the complete record of that illegal past, before making that 180 degree turn away large about face clean break from the past. Rather than just easing away in a long series of small steps.
In a month or two we will know something about new Justice Department policies, right now, too many suffer from both a lack of patience and complete denial about how things get done in the real world.
