The Mayor told the Standard each car in the President's motorcade will be billed for £10 - including the bomb-proof Cadillac. Mr Johnson also said he had a discussion with Mr Obama about the US embassy's refusal to pay £5.3 million in C-charge fines.

But the embassy said its position on not paying the C-charge was "wholly in accordance" with a convention on taxing diplomats. Mr Johnson said: "Our roads were not closed during the President's visit so his motorcade will pay. The Beast will pay the charge, I'm delighted to say.

He is one of the hosts of Top Gear. Netflix has Season 2-15 available for streaming and they are always re-run on BBC America.

I'm more than a little goofy but so are you and are a lot of others in this forum, you just don't realize it. (This thread is a perfect example)

As for me being an apologist, well I do like Obama but maybe that's because I had my expectations lowered after the last administration. Aslo all this BS about him being a Socialist, a Marxist, a Kenyan (not Keyenesan) a hater of America, a Racist, a terrorist, etc from you wingnuts makes it hard to take anything you guys post seriously.

Don't get me wrong I love the Beast. And even though I am no fan of Obama's policies I want him in something safe like that limo. I mean imagine if the presidential limo was a stretched Leaf. lol

It's just funny to me that he is pro "Green", anti SUV and Big Truck all the while is driven around in a gas guzzling, carbon foot print making, monster of a limo.

wtf? the us embassy has 5 million pounds worth of c-charge fines... that both sides know will never be paid... and obama gets another frivolous c-charge fine and its news? the 10 pound fine is newsworthy but the 5 million pound tab isnt?

and how to you get to a 5 million pound tab when each violation is only 10 pounds? sounds like this has been going on for decades.

The US embassy's outstanding bill is the highest, with well over 45,000 notices since the C-charge was introduced in 2003. A source there said they were unaware of the conversation between the President and the Mayor, adding: "Our position on the congestion charge is well known."

Meh, the limo is the least of the complaints people should have about a president's "greenness." Air Force one flights halfway across the country for a single speech or whatever are far more wasteful.
